I hate buying cars. Always have. So, I absolutely DREADED today, knowing we HAD to purchase a car. I had a financing preapproval that was tied PENN Auto Group, so there I went. I didn't know what car I wante today, knowing we HAD to purchase a car. I had a financing preapproval that was tied PENN Auto Group, so there I went. I didn't know what car I wanted because what I could afford depended upon interest rates, etc. I was in knots of anxiety. Then I met Jake and Jim Pearce. They welcomed me with open arms, explained how financing works (I've previously had the luxury of buying cars with cash), and found various cars at various Star Automotive (they belong to that family of dealerships) lots that I could test drive. Not once did they pressure me, harass me, or try to corner me. It was the epitome of a "dream" car buying experience (unless you can just write a check for what you want). I ended up with a beautiful car and a vow to return to PENN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP for every car I will buy in the future. Many thanks to Jake and to JIM who - by the way - put his life on the line for our country. They patiently let us try out 7 cars and once we made our choice they bought us out of the last 6 payments with a small profit to boot and we drove out with a 2017 Hyundai Sonata with only 20,000 miles. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY ARE THE WORST DEALER IN PA JULY 2019 I BOUGHT A 2017 HONDA CIVIC FROM PENN AUTO GROUP 34K MILES, THE AC NOT WORKING IN SUMMER, PASSENGER MIRROR NOT TURNING PROPERLY, BACK SEAT N JULY 2019 I BOUGHT A 2017 HONDA CIVIC FROM PENN AUTO GROUP 34K MILES, THE AC NOT WORKING IN SUMMER, PASSENGER MIRROR NOT TURNING PROPERLY, BACK SEAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED CUZ IS NOT ATTACHED. I WENT BACK TO TALK WITH THE MANAGER AND THEY SENT ME TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT. SD CHECKED MY CAR OUT AND TOLD ME THEY CANT FIX MY CAR. THEY SENT TO HONDA DEALERSHIP TO FIX MY CAR CUZ THE MANUFACTURE WARRANTY STILL RUNNING UNTIL 36K MILES, I SAID NO, PLEASE GIVE ME A LOANER CAR UNTIL YOU FIX MY CAR BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT IN HERE AND THEY SAID NO. I WENT TO HONDA AND THEY CANT FIX MY CAR EITHER CUZ THE AUTO PARTS FOR MY CAR IS NOT AVAILABLE IN US, THEY NEED TO ORDER AND DIDNT KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE. THEY ALSO INSPECTED MY CAR AND FOUND TRANSMISSION FLUID NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, CABIN FILTER, AC CONDESER & COMPRESSOR. I WENT BACK TO PENN AUTO GROUP TO TALK TO THEM AND THEY KICK ME OUT, THEY DIDNT HELP ME NOT EVEN A LOANER CAR AND THEY SOLD TO ME A WARRANTY FOR $2700 BUT I FIND OUT LATER (I DIDNT KNOW) THAT IS NOT A WARRANTY JUST A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH ALLSTATE THAN I HAVE TO PAY DEDUCTIBLE. Realistic salesmen and staff. My sales guy Junior was exceptionally realistic to speak with and the deal was a pleasure as it should be.
