Non professional service department! The mechanics do not know how to diagnose and will recommend everything else except what you request! The service reps need better customer service e The mechanics do not know how to diagnose and will recommend everything else except what you request! The service reps need better customer service experience. I went in to get my back strut inspected due to clunking noise and another noise that was a concern and was recommended a new transmission by another Toyota dealer. Hoping to get a more detailed inspection at penske dealer in downey ended up with worse news. They said the strut looked good after “inspection with flash light” and after a simple test drive they also determined 1 noise was due to bad transmission (like other dealer) and back noise was due to “ transmission mount “ having wear and tear!! After asking them what kind of inspection ls they do to determine these findings I was told the flash light test, test drive was enough to determine bad transmission and mount. They did not give me any proof of diagnostic test they did and was told they don’t offer that to customers ????? Still working to see if transmission is an issue but did resolve the back noise! And as I told penske to inspect the strut went to a smaller tire shop and they determined the strut was leaking causing clunking noise got it fixed and now NO MORE clunking noise!!! Definitely Toyota dealers are out to get us for our money with no proper diagnosis!!! Mechanics need to be fired and service reps need more training!! More
