Walked into this dealership day one looking for a 2026 Lexus IS 350 F-sport. Worked with Salesman Chris Baxter. Told him from the beginning that I was paying all cash, no financing or trade-in. I also told him that I was not going to make a purchase until the last day of June because that's when the best deals become available. Performance Lexus literally had 30 days to come up with a competitive price offer. You would think that any dealership would jump all over that, but not Performance Lexus of Northern Kentucky. Wasted weeks of my time texting and communicating back and forth with Chris. I told him exactly what exterior/interior colors I was interested in, and every option that I needed the vehicle to have. He consistently sent me invoices of vehicles that were not what I wanted. They were either the wrong color interior or were missing options that I told him it must have. He called me one day and said that he just received two cars on the lot that were exactly what I wanted. I drove up to the dealership the next morning after working a 16 hour shift at work. Neither car had what I wanted. One car had the wrong color interior and the other car was missing two options that I asked for. Fast Forward to the end of the month, Chris called me and asked me to make an appointment with him for 9am on 6/29/26. He said that we would all sit down and crunch numbers and come up with a number that worked for both sides. I was assuming that he would get a Sales Manager or General Manager involved since he had so much time to get a deal together. I showed up to the dealership on the 29th and waited in the lobby until 9:30am for Chris to show up. I also worked a 16 hour shift and got off work that morning at 7am. I stayed up specifically to meet with Chris. My meeting with him lasted a whopping 5 minutes because he gave me a xx price. He didn't make any effort at all. He took the price of the car, added sales tax to it, and slapped it on an offer sheet. No deal of any kind. He also never added the $1000 military rebate that I qualified for that I had already told him about before and verified through the Lexus website. I asked him, this is your best price? He said yes. I said there is no way I would buy this car for that price. He did not get any manager involved, in fact, he told me if this was the car I wanted, to go buy it somewhere else. Later that afternoon, that's exactly what I did from another local Lexus dealership for over $6k less than the price Chris gave me. That dealership also gave me the $1000 military rebate that I qualified for. That dealership wasted zero time giving me a competitive offer and told me they did not want me to walk out without earning my business. We had a deal done in less than 15 minutes. The lesson of the day is 1) don't waste your time at Performance Lexus of Northern Kentucky and 2) SHOP AROUND!! There are multiple Lexus dealerships within driving distance of Cincinnati that want to earn your business and will actually take you seriously as a customer. Performance Lexus of Northern Kentucky is not that type of business. I've bought 20 vehicles throughout my life, and not one time has a Sales Manager or General Manager not got involved if the customer and salesman could not agree to a deal. Well, now it has happened one time. If this review helps save one person from getting their valuable time wasted at this dealership, then my time spent writing it was worth it. This dealership let a $72,123 sale walk away because they lost the second factory key and refused to reduce the price by $500 for the inconvenience. Had do drive 90 miles because they had a car that I wanted but is rather hard to find. Memorial day late afternoon when I arrived. Also Michael, the used car manager, did me a kindness by reducing the price of the car by what they would have spent reconditioning it, so that I could take it home that afternoon. Nice. Hannah got me in and out of the finance office in 10 minutes. Lastly, never thought I'd ever actually see a Lexus LFA in person, but there it was in the showroom. That was worth the drive alone. (If you don't know what an LFA is, then this will mean nothing to you. If you DO...then you know what I'm talking about.) Good experience and I am absolutely thrilled with the car I bought.
