If your interaction did not meet those standards, we sincerely apologize for the way it made you feel. To provide some context, the individual present was not the authorized buyer on the transaction, and our team was required to wait for the actual purchaser to arrive in order to complete the necessary documentation and release the vehicle. While these compliance requirements can sometimes create frustration, they should never result in anyone feeling dismissed or uncomfortable. We regret that a manager did not step in at the time to better explain the situation and ensure a more positive experience. That is feedback we take seriously and will address internally. To clarify, the issue was not whether the actual buyer needed to be present. For five hours, I was consistently told that the buyer did not need to be there and that he would be contacted at the end of the process. Only after I stepped into the finance office was I told the opposite. This was not a problem nor was I frustrated about it—I immediately stated that the buyer was on his way, and he arrived at the dealership within 30 minutes. I was not frustrated by this change, but I was confused as to why I had spent five hours at the dealership without any clear direction or communication. That said, this is not the core issue. The sole concern is the manner in which I was spoken to and treated from the moment I entered the finance office, which was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.

My point was your complete lack of follow up and concern about correcting the CARFAX report. As of right now, I’ve still had no confirmation from your company that you have done that. As stated above, I have always believed the error was reporting, not an actual rollback.

The Carfax report shows 22 documented service records, all of which include mileage readings, and none indicate any odometer rollbacks. When the vehicle was traded in at the Land Rover dealership in Alabama in February 2023, it had 62,907 miles. It was then sent to auction, where we purchased it on April 7th with 63,307 miles. At the time of your purchase, the vehicle had 63,344 miles. We reviewed all of this information with you and provided the Carfax report for full transparency. At this point, there is nothing further we can do regarding this matter.

The fact that you’re not even reading the detail of my issue is testament to your poor attention to detail. I stated I believed it to be a recording error, and my issue was with your lack of interest in rectifying rhe report to restore the correct valuation on the car. Your lack of response, rude treatment from your staff, and lack of returned calls resulted in me having to show up at your dealership to get it corrected, and even then your follow up is as abysmal.
