I recently posted a review about my experiences at Westmont BMW, and it occurred to me that it may have encouraged people to buy or service their BMW at Perillo instead. This is the last thing I want Westmont BMW, and it occurred to me that it may have encouraged people to buy or service their BMW at Perillo instead. This is the last thing I want to do because, if anything, my experience at Perillo was worse because not only do they also try overcharge for their services, but they once put my family’s safety at risk by severely over tightening the lug nuts on my tires to the point that one snapped off while we were driving on an expressway. Luckily, I managed to pull over to the side of the road when my front wheel started to severely shake. When I called them Perillo for a tow the amount they quoted was extremely high, so I called an independent towing company who charged one third this amount. Once back at their shop Perillo wanted to charge me for realigning my front end but after being told that this problem was caused by them over torquing my wheel lugs, they agreed to waive the costs. On another occasion they asked me to bring my car in for a $300 software upgrade that would take two days. Again, after I described how absurd this was, they called back several days later to say it was free and could be done in a matter of hours. These experiences and many more at Perillo convinced me to buy my next BMW at Westmont which was another disaster that I described in an earlier review. To repeat, I found both my prior BMW and my new one to be well made but expensive cars, but I also found that you must be very careful when dealing with both of these dealerships by asking the meaning of vague and cryptic charges. If you do this, you will find that many of their explanations make no sense. Hopefully there is a reliable and fair priced dealership somewhere in the Chicago area but good luck finding them. More
If you need service for your BMW, Perillo is the place to take it. The staff are all incredible at what they do. A deeply hurt customer's complaint with the Perillo BMW Service Center in Chicago. I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with the Perillo BMW Service Center in Chicago. If I were to rate the Service Center in Chicago. I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with the Perillo BMW Service Center in Chicago. If I were to rate their service, it would be 0 stars because I found the service personnel to be dishonest and irresponsible. I brought my X5 in with some issues that needed addressing, but unfortunately, they were not handled with the care and honesty that I expected. Even though I paid $750 for the left rear side window replacement, I discovered inexplicable man-made scratches on the entire left side of my car on the second day after the service, which may have been caused by rough repairs. To make matters worse, the foreman named Stefan was very rude and unhelpful. He shirked responsibility for the scratches and dismissed my complaints because I had no evidence to back them up. I continued to complain for several months, but unfortunately, there was no resolution to the issue. Eventually, I tried to make a simple repair of some scratches that could be touched up at Perillo. However, during the service, my car was moved to an area that lacked effective monitoring for approximately 40 minutes. After the service was completed, I was informed that they found five new, similar scratches on the other side of my car. Even though they were very new, Perillo was trying to convince the customer that all the scratches were natural, leaving the customer feeling embarrassed and upset! I want to warn others to be careful when using this service center. It appears that your car may not be repaired and maintained responsibly, or even vandalized based on some kind of malicious intent. The service center denied and ignored the problems I found, and Stefan's attitude was very rude and disgraceful. More
I am leasing a 2020 X3 that is still under warranty. Perillo BMW refused to replace a defective key fob that had failed THREE times leaving my wife stranded each time. I took the vehicle to the service Perillo BMW refused to replace a defective key fob that had failed THREE times leaving my wife stranded each time. I took the vehicle to the service department twice, the battery was replaced, and I was told that it passed diagnostics. So I am just waiting for it to fail again. At least the service manager showed me how to access the vehicle with a dead key fob. I will not be doing business with Perillo BMW again. More
Second time taking my bmw for oil change and second time overall experience is inconsistent. Danette was very friendly and made me feel welcome but the follow through lacked detail. Made an appointm overall experience is inconsistent. Danette was very friendly and made me feel welcome but the follow through lacked detail. Made an appointment for my oil change, car was serviced and then received emails that I missed my appointment. This happened last time, too. The pick up experience just needs work. Feel like once they collect your money they cut you loose. My car was returned to me and not washed like my normal BMW dealer. After getting home, i realized the service warning light had not been reset. I had to go back the next morning, wait and have them complete the job. No apology no acknowledgement that the detail was missed and the customer inconvenienced. I also feel strictly using the text and email feature is not personalized or at the level of a BMW dealer for service. The location is close to my office but I will not return for service and stick to Laurel BMW in the future More
Took my X3 to them to swap out my summer tires for winter tires and they destroyed 2 of my tires. Service departments have given me the run around for 2 weeks and now offered to pay for 20% of the replacemen tires and they destroyed 2 of my tires. When someone finally asked me if I needed any help, I told them I had a service appointment and they directed me to Ana Salgado. I wish they hadn’t, she was on her phone and seemed annoyed that I was there. When I told her that I was there to get my oil changed. She immediately told me that 3:15pm was to late in the day and I would need to reschedule. I told her that I had an appointment so that it doesn’t make any sense. She tried to blame BMW’s website and it was an issue with their website... I told her I would schedule service with another dealer and her response to me was “Good Luck”. As I got in my car and started to leave (in disbelief)... Alex Padalko stopped me... and stepped in and got my car in for service and completed in less than an hour. I can’t believe BMW would let a dealership operate like this (given the quality and cost of their vehicles). The service manager at Perillo BMW should be replaced because they clearly have not trained their folks even the basics about customer service. Ana should find a different profession because she clearly did not want to work there. Unbelievable! More
Shady business practice! Caution: if your BMW is out of warranty, do NOT take it here for service! My “check engine” light was not on when I took in my X5 for service. As soon as I get my car back, wouldn’ warranty, do NOT take it here for service! My “check engine” light was not on when I took in my X5 for service. As soon as I get my car back, wouldn’t you know it! My “check engine” light is on!!! Ridiculous!!! How does this happen? Be very, very cautious of dropping off your car here! This is the SECOND time this has happened! I should have learned the first time! I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is now going to cost me. More
