He truly cares about his customers and no matter how busy he is or how many customers he is working with he makes you feel like you are the only customer he has to take care of. Everyone at Perkins is fantastic, from Scott to Dan and Bill in the finance department, everyone in the parts department and everyone in the service department They are all friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They all make you feel like you are dealing with a small town dealership where everyone has known you all your life. Excellent customer service and sales! I came in curious about trading in my car and getting a truck. Scott Matela greeted me and assisted me through the purchase. I was losing a lot of money on my trade in due to the depreciation and newer model vehicles being sold for way less new then what I bought mine for. Scott worked tirelessly to accommodate my financial situation. I couldn't make the purchase at first. Scott continued to work on the deal for days as luck would have it he was able to get me more than enough on my trade in. I purchased the vehicle for what I could afford. It would not had happened if I had went through any other dealerships in the area. I applaud Scott for his hard work and he never gave up on helping the customer get what they want. More

Upon delivery, our jeep looked like it had been rushed through detailing. Scott took note and made sure to schedule another detail appointment as the dealer was closing at this point. Cons - Lower trade in value than competition Missed expensive vehicle repair needs in vehicle preparation, I should have had a PPI done before purchase. Claimed that there were not any issue. Discourages PPI. The vehicle was great after I had it repaired at another dealership for about $1700. For used vehicles at least, make sure the PPI is done or talk them down $2k from asking price as you may end up spending that much in repairs post-purchase. More

Easy and Friendly Car Buying Afternoon My wife and I normally dread the "high-pressure-sales" car buying experience. We have literally walked right out of a few dealerships because of how My wife and I normally dread the "high-pressure-sales" car buying experience. We have literally walked right out of a few dealerships because of how the salesperson treated us. But when we stopped by Perkins, we met Ernie Lucero. Ernie came up, introduced himself, asked us to let him know if we had any questions, and then allowed us to look around at our leisure. When we were ready, he was available and helpful. He listened to us. Asked us a few questions about our needs and desires. He didn't try to "sell" us a car. Wow! Ernie allowed us figure out what we were looking for in vehicle. Nice concept ... no pressure to buy this or that ... just ask what was important to us and then allow us to decide what we like or don't. Ernie Lucero took the "fear" out of dealing with a dealer ... and put the "Friendly" back into service! We actually felt as though we were shopping for a car with an old family friend. His mission to us was clear: Make us comfortable to find what we want/need ... not just treat us like another customer to make a sell on. Thank you, Ernie, for the time and help! The prep department for new vehicles needs to take more pride in their work to make sure the inside of the vehicle is clean so the customer doesn't have to vacuum it the first day. More

We found what appeared to be the perfect match at Perkins in Colorado Springs, CO. After calling to make sure the vehicle was still on the lot, we drove the 1.5 hours to test drive it and make sure it was what we really wanted. The staff was attentive and helpful and salesman James Day was very helpful. We were able to get the car we wanted at a fair price, which is somewhat of a rarity nowadays. With the exception of a long wait on financing approval, the whole experience was an A+. We'll definitely be going back for future vehicle purchases! More
