My first encounter with Mark was when I pulled up and parked. I began looking at the convertibles when he appeared with in a couple of minutes to offer his assistance. I was apprehensive about the whole car buying experience, and tend to "think" a lot. We were first time buyers and also have an 18 month old. I had decided to change vehicles about a week prior to the actual purchase. I had narrowed the search for which dealers I had wanted to purchase my Grand Cherokee from here in Colorado Springs. I had occasion to visit Perkins dealership a few days prior to the actual purchase. It is a habit of mine to go down to a potential dealer and observe the sales staff in action. Upon observing several salesmen, I decided that Sean Betz would be a good fit for me. After initiating pricing and trade in value, I went to Faricy Boys to accomplish the same thing. Their salesman was courteous and helpful, but in the end, even after matching the Perkins price, they tried to deal me a Grand Cherokee in a color I didn't want. I returned to the Perkins dealership. On the way down Sean even called me to inquire about what I had decided to do. I asked him to prepare the vehicle for a test drive and he indicated it had already been done. Upon my arrival at the dealership and the subsequent test drive, I decided to purchase the vehicle from Sean. Sean appears to me to be a motivated self starting salesman. Upon learning of his age, I was impressed with his maturity and attention to detail. He was quite knowledgeable about the product, was extremely courteous, and I would highly recommend him to anyone I know wanting to purchase a Chrysler product. Outstanding job Sean!!! More
I was very satisfied with our purchase and the whole experience. With that said, I know this is used as a tool to improve on things that I as a buyer can see that are a bit lacking. Just a couple of things that are in my mind somewhat minor, and the mention of them are solely to improve your business from a buyers' perspective. 1) When I asked about the condition of the tires, and questioned after seeing on the "Chrysler Certified Preowned" sheet that they need to be at least 50% remaining, the guy -not Gary, went out to the van and measured them, and his comment upon his return was "Believe it or not, those tires are new" I just couldn't swallow that. It was obvious that they were the original tires with 25,000 miles on them-the mileage on the van, which made sense. I don't know and the guy couldn't tell me what the tires started out with, so who knows what the 50% was, and if his measurements made sense. I did see a new van in the showroom with the exact same tires on it, and there was waaay more tread on them than there was on the tires on the van we purchased. 2) I am kind of a detail guy when I need to be, so don't take this one personal. The detail job could have been a bit more thorough. When your little girl says from the backseat that there is what looks like a ketchup spot in the right rear seating area on the plastic trim where she sits, kinda takes away from the van buying experience. I took care of that. I felt our salesperson, Gary, was very upfront, accomodating, and I didn't get the feeling he was trying to hide anything. He was very well received by my wife and I, and the kids. In my opinion, Gary is a very good asset for Perkins Motors, and still has it. Paul N. in the finance department was very helpful, and made that part of it go smoothly. I was very impressed with the low interest rate he was able to secure for us. Now for the big question, "would you do this again?" I would have to say yes. Thanks for asking. More
found the truck we wanted for the price we wanted and all was going well the salesmen said we are approved and are all set, then he goes and gets the sales manager and he tells us we cant get a loan for all was going well the salesmen said we are approved and are all set, then he goes and gets the sales manager and he tells us we cant get a loan for this truck but he has another one that he can get us approved for and of course it cost more and the payment is higher, the don't listen to what you want, but try to tell you what to buy. we wont go back and do not recommend them to any one. go somewhere else.
