Bill Ward greeted me very cordially, and there was no point that I felt he was 'out to make the sale', which I greatly appreciat start to finish. Bill allowed me all the time and offered all the information that I needed to make a confident decision, and I cannot think of a way he could have been more perfect to me! Brett Smith worked with me on all the financial things, and his very pleasant demeanor and sincere manner made me feel very comfortable. It was a pleasure to work with Ken. There was no pressure at all to make a purchase. Ken showed us every previously owned Jeep in stock, answered our questions about each one and left our decision to buy a J at all to make a purchase. After we made our decision to purchase a very clean vehicle, he went "above and beyond" to take care of a few minor mechanical and touch-up issues with our 2007 Jeep Wrangler. He is sincere in his effort to make certain that we are happy, satisfied customers and he continues to follow-up with us to make sure we stay that way. Our only criticism (and a significant one) would be in the finance department. This is not a reflection on the individual who (finally) got us through all the paperwork. It appears that we were not the only customers that had to wait an extended time to complete our purchase. This inability to quickly complete a major purchase does not leave a good impression. Management should take responsibility for making certain there are enough qualified personel to complete purchase transactions in a timely manner. More
I've purchased in the past 20 years 4 Jeep Grand Cherokees in the Denver/Colorado Springs area, from four different dealers,a 1995, a 1999, a 2005, and now with Perkins the 2011 Grand Cherokee Overl Cherokees in the Denver/Colorado Springs area, from four different dealers,a 1995, a 1999, a 2005, and now with Perkins the 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland. In comparison, this Grand Cherokee Purchase experience was by far the most professional, straight forward, in the negotiations strictly above-board and particularly relaxed and stress free ( I react very badly to any kind of tension). I have the impression that Scott at the end thoroughly enjoyed my typically slow and very methodic decision process, that went on over a week, until, at a Monday morning -there is typically low sales traffic- I decided, which inventory number I'd select. I did not even notice a typical sales man crack during my decision process, such as": "You could be out in two hours with your dream car". Scott stayed strictly professional. And when I mentioned to Scott which inventory number I had decided on, Scott organized all necessary things: signing of an immense paper pile in Brett's office, Brett turned out to be equally professional, the 2005 trade-in, getting the new 2011 detailed, and three hours later I was driving the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with the Summit package. This 2005 is a marvelous automobile, in driving experience a world apart from that of the 2005, although I've found the driving experience of the 2005 also very pleasant, until I had experienced the 2011. I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from Perkins Motors. I also traded in my vehicle and the trade-in value was fair - Chad was direct and communicative on what they were able to do. I'm a USAA Member and took advantage of the Car Buying Service - so I can't comment too much on pricing and negotiating that final sales price - however, I'm glad Perkins participates in the USAA Program since it removes so much of the anxiety of negotiating sales price and I feel like I paid a great price for my Jeep (which is really all that matters regardless of what you end up paying...you just don't want to feel like you overpaid). Ernie was consistent in his follow up and even took calls on his day off (sorry!) - and the hand-off to Devin was seamless. Devin is just a gem; she's friendly, she listens to what you're saying and she leaves you with the impression that she wants to make sure you get married up with the right vehicle for you. After purchasing my Jeep she even gifted me a Colorado Trails Guide so I know exactly where to take my Jeep to get it dirty and break it in. The Finance Manager has a bit of a hokey video to show you - but he stayed late as I finished up my entire process pretty close to 8 or 9pm, and of course he's a friendly guy that isn't pushy with the traditional up-sells/add-ons that folks normally are subjected to when completing their purchase. Overall, I was completely satisfied with my purchase and I'm a happy new Jeep owner. I definitely recommend Perkins Motors' Sales Team. I did not rate the 'Quality of Work' section since I consider that part of the Service Department. More
