The 1000 dollar military discount was amazing, it is nice that this particular dealership gives back to the community in which it is located. There was also no "nickle and diming" by the sales team, they were respectful and knowledgeable, and didn't give us dirty looks because my husband and I are military, and we also happen to look very young. Other dealerships have assumed that we could not afford a 50K vehicle in the past based on our looks, which is one of the reasons we have continued to purchase cars from Perkins. The finance department made the car buying process so simple and quick. We were in a rush and we didn't have any hassles trading our old vehicle in. Mr. Lee (the young finance guy) was funny, sarcastic (in a good way) and jovial through the whole process, he can really relate to the military crowd. He explained all of the extended warranty options in detail, and even explained the factory warranties! I do not believe that I will ever fail to purchase an extended warranty again, due to the valuable information he gave us. The whole sales department is very kid-friendly as well, which allowed my five year old to eat snacks and play while we purchased the car. At the end we drove home in the new Ram and are very happy about dealing with a local family owned dealership that has been in Colorado Springs for several decades. We walked in Perkins Motor knowing what I was looking for. Mr. Rivera approached us and introduced himself. Although there were many other vehicles, he stayed with us on what we wanted, he showed us the differences in types of Durango, but allowed us to make our choices. Once we have made up our minds, the rest of the staff (financed) took no time to draw up the paper work and allow us to take the vehicle home. We went back and forth for two days, but they, Ramon and staff, stuck with us and made it our first ever easy transaction with any dealership. I would definitely recommend Peter Cavada and Jeff Lee at Perkins. There was not any run around or hassel with them or the dealership. They gave us a GREAT deal on our trade-ins and worked with us trying to get our new Wrangler within our price limit even though our credit isn;t the greatest. We shopped around after we had second thoughts about maybe finding a better deal elsewhere. They were still the best we could find. Everyone offered us used cars for about the same price but Perkins and their sales team got us into a brand new car for the same price as the other companies with their used cars. Most of our deal was completed via the Internet before we ever got there. We walked in and found Rich waiting for us with the keys and a dealer tag. He had also already filled out all of the paperwork for us. It was a very easy process. My wife and I both agreed that this was best experience we have ever had buying a car. After we got back from the test-drive, our little girls were allowed to play in their play area while we signed the paperwork. We were all offered fresh popcorn and soda's, etc, etc. We were also very impressed with the fact that there were no heavy sell tactics used and how secure they are with our information. Rich told us that he had no idea what our credit rating was because he isn't allowed to see it. Only the Finance Manager has access to your credit information and it is locked up in a vault. There were several things like that were different than what we have experienced in the past. It was obvious that this company understands the importance of keeping a customer and the art of getting customer referrals. We will definitely go back to Perkins in the future and we will definitely buy it through Rich Cruz. What a great guy! What a great dealership! More
