I limped into the service department due to something failed in my engine. (Just made it!) Keith listened to my car and knew right away what was wrong with my Beetle. However, the service department was failed in my engine. (Just made it!) Keith listened to my car and knew right away what was wrong with my Beetle. However, the service department was fully scheduled for quite some time. I left the car with Keith and they gave me a ride home. Awesome! To my surprise, Keith called me within an hour saying they had time to diagnose my car and could start working on it with my approval. I was expecting to wait several days just to find out what was wrong. Nope! They worked me in right away.There was quite a bit of work to do, but Keith kept me well informed every step of the way, which I really appreciated! In two to three days my car was completed. I was super pleased and everything that was worked on is working perfectly! Simply the technician who was responsible for my Beetle, is a Super Hero! He did a great job!! Keith is a great Service Manager and knows how to take care of his customers! I’ve been a customer of the dealership a long time, and experiences like this keeps me coming back. As an owner of over 35 cars, I’ve consistently seen the value of having my car serviced at the dealership. Is it more expensive, yes! I made an appointment to have my 90k service completed. Intuitively, value of having my car serviced at the dealership. Is it more expensive, yes! I made an appointment to have my 90k service completed. Intuitively, the system checks and inspections should highlight possible concerns and issues, which also provides the opportunity to sell more services. That’s the value. Unfortunately, this dealership never stated the system checks or inspections that were going to be conducted with the oil change outside of the tire rotation at $35. Nor did this store communicate the results of the system checks and inspections. In my honest opinion, this is a major failure of any servicing dealership. This is the true value of having the service completed by the dealership and should be highlighted during the appointment. Missed opportunity to support the decision that the customer is making. A customer can get an oil change anywhere else for less than $200! More
