Strange problem - quick fix I bought my 2012 328i in Georgia, but was greeted like an old, valued customer when I brought it to Peterson for a free oil change a few months ago. W I bought my 2012 328i in Georgia, but was greeted like an old, valued customer when I brought it to Peterson for a free oil change a few months ago. When my battery suddenly died late on Dec 30, with a long holiday weekend coming, I was surprised and relieved that they told me to bring the car in early the next morning. The problem turned out to be not the battery or charging system but another of the weird computer complications that the Bavarian technology geeks who have taken over BMW have added to their cars lately; but Curtis Pratt and the technicians behind him figured it out, reset the offending bit of software, explained the problem, and sent me home to enjoy New Year's Eve, all under warranty. Once again, prompt, friendly, expert, professional service. I couldn't ask for more. More
