Bought a Sonata on January 14th. After the sale, they applied their expensive sealant treatment. Shortly after that, the Pin Stripe that was under that great sealant began to chip away. During my first applied their expensive sealant treatment. Shortly after that, the Pin Stripe that was under that great sealant began to chip away. During my first service, I identified the problem to the service department but they referred me to sales. Because I clean my own vehicle with Turtle Wax Car Wash Soap, it was not my cleaning. I even had a discussion with their Pin Stripe guy about the soap I use. By the way, it was not his work and he guarantees his work. Well, contacted Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City and they related it was not there problem. Even though it was purchased with the Pin Stripping in place and I was told I had a “bumper to bumper” policy except the normal my fault stuff of course. Bottom line here is yet another reason to stay away from Phil Long. They do not mind the money you pay for your vehicle but after that, all sales are final. More
