Went to dealership to purchase a Kia K4 GT, agreed upon price for the new car out the door and the trade in of the old car. After several hours of negotiating a price of $497 a month was agreed upon ( ever price for the new car out the door and the trade in of the old car. After several hours of negotiating a price of $497 a month was agreed upon ( everything was itemized), The sales manager came back and said they made a mistake and said the payment is $521 when I asked for a copy to review why, the increase they told me they thought it was a lease and not a purchase. I asked for a new itemized out the door price, and they refused to give me the documentation, and said it was an internal document and could not tell me or show me and said if I wanted the car the payment was going to now be $ 521 a month for 60 months. My daughter really wanted the car, so I gave in and said OK, we got everything out of my trade in vehicle, switched the tags, and changed the insurance. The salesman showed my daughter how everything operated on the new car. After another hourt we go back into the finance department, and they wasted time trying to up sell us things we didn't need or want, and we said no to any add On's. So, we signed all the paperwork except for the paperwork with the pricing on it, As I started to review the pricing nothing matched what we agreed to. My trade in was a lease and the payoff quote was the price to purchase the car including taxes. I started looking and realized the discrepancy of the payment increase of $24 x 60 months just happened to be a line item that said sales taxes and then all the fees that I said I would not pay were back into the contract. The math should have been simple, I wanted 30K for my trade in my payoff including taxes was 35K, I was paying the 5K. The trade was 5k more than the new car, therefore since all of the taxes were paid during lease and the additional taxes were included in the payoff, there should have been 0 taxes on the new car, because of the offset of the trade-in with taxes fully paid. So I questioned line item that said sales tax in the purchase contract of the new car.which happened to match the $24/month payment increase, I also questioned the dealer prep fees and other fees that i didnt agree to pay these fees amounted to over $3000. My deal was MSRP minus $3900 plus tax and actual cost to transfer the tags of about $185 as agreed since there was no sales tax because of the trade-in it should have been MSRP-$3000+$185 we agreed earlier before the finance guy got involved any fees they added to the document such as doc fee, dealer prep fees, dealer fees, etc they could show them on the paperwork but they would have to increase the discount off the MSRP to cover the fees that I told them upfront I would not pay. The finance guy tried his best to confuse me trying to say I had to pay tax to trade in my car because it was a lease buyout, again I showed him on the payoff quote that the taxes were included in the payoff quote. The finance guy gets mad at me, treating me like I was stupid, he goes and gets the sales manager and he tells me another story that I not accepting. I said have the purchase paperwork match what was on the worksheet that I signed. He refused and then said, he changed his mind he not selling me the car. My daughter started to be sick and was upset and so I said never mind I will take the car at the $521 a month. The manager said I not selling you the car and my daughter started crying. So we left, no more than 10 minutes later, he calls me to come back the next day and he will sell me the car at the $521/Month x 60 month price. We just kept driving home my daughter was crying she really wanted that car and I was just going to pay in cash the extra $1440 they wanted to charge me. The entire deal which was suppose to be $3900 of MSRP ended up to be less than $1800 and I was still paying $5000 out of pocket because I was upside down on the trade. I purchased a new 2027 Kia Telluride and traded in a BMW on Feb 12th. I was told my trade would be paid off in a few days. We'll, I'm still paying for a car i don't own and the dealer hasn't paid it off. I've left messages for the finance manager, general manager, sales person, one of the owners, and not one call back. Nobody answers the phone. I want to return the Telluride and get my BMW back. I'm not pay for two vehicles. I have filed a complaint with Florida DMV. Just want to make others aware so you don't end up in the same situation I'm in. More

After my prior vehicle being burnt to the ground I was a bit nervous about starting in Lighthouse Point to purchase my new vehicle over the weekend! We received the most friendliest greeting by Nate Bird and he assisted me and my family with finding the best car to meet our needs. Shortly after I was matched with my new dream vehicle a red Kia Shortage. Everything happened so quickly and we were introduced to Al in the finance department that worked his magic to be in my monthly payment area even with my unflavored credit due to our family pests both passing away within days of each other and we tried everything to save our fur babies. Thank you Nate and Al for helping my family with our new purchase and for going above and beyond to make this dream come true! We are grateful for your honestly, shared experience, professionalism, compassion and for treating my family with such respect! More
I was offered $25,000 for my car and this was put in writing. When I went to the dealership to complete the purchase, the offer dropped by $1500 for absolutely no reason. I stated many times that I did not wish to purchase the Phil Smith Kia protection package at a cost of $1995, yet it appeared on my purchase order without any authorization from me. Astoundingly, the managers of this dealership took umbrage with me for even bringing this up! I was also told that the car was in excellent condition yet it needed a repair that was blatantly obvious and cost $325 in additional money to be paid by me. All of these things speak to the lack of truth and honesty by the dealership. So I guess my final statement is caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). I suggest to all of you potential buyers that you check the integrity of this dealership before you contemplate a purchase. My recommendation is STAY AWAY! More
