We were told that a new battery had been installed in our purchase of a used 2021 Encore. Unfortunately we found out later that the battery in the car was the original battery and now that battery malfunctio purchase of a used 2021 Encore. We were told we would be responsible for full payment of the new battery and the base charge for instillation would be approximately $174- the standard hourly rate-also, the new battery would be guaranteed for only one year. We left the dealership and proceeded to buy a new battery from Advanced Auto Parts that charged us $256, but came with free installation and a 3 year warranty. I watched the transition change by the lady, the event took over a 45min. to change because the new battery had an electrical module connected to the top of the battery with several wires connected for output-not an easy task that was doing for free. That particular situation formulated a sour-dour impression of the dealer from that point on. NOW NO MORE DEALS WITH THESE PEOPLE FORWARD, WEARE DONE WITH THEM AND ALSO WITH THE DEALER IN OCALA that has been trying to sell a new Jeep. --fat chance for that to happen. More
