After my phone call I was enticed to go to the dealership and check out the vehicle. I met with a salesmen and he was just as helpful. He was very pragmatic and disproved the stereo-type given to car salesmen. He was not sleezy at all and did everything in his power to get me the greatest deal possible. I also met with a manager. The term "attitude reflects leadership" holds true at Pinebelt Nissan. It was evident that the salesmen were great because management was great. My experience at Pinebelt Nissan of Keyport was unlike any other car purchasing experience. I never felt so comfortable at a car dealership in my life. I was in and out in a short time and I now am driving a great vehicle that I had purchased at a great price. They have a vast new and pre-owned inventory. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle of any make. More
I decided to use the internet to aid in finding a new Rogue (2010). Initially, the internet representative was great. She answered promptly. Without any hassles she gave me what I thought was a very good quote. The only extras to be added was the tax, destination, and motor vehicle fees. She set me up with a salesman. We made three visits, the final one to make the purchase. When we first went to look at a car, the salesman was friendly, and wrote up the car and prices. He had added in a fee for window etching, $399. I said I do not want etching. First he told me all cars on the lot of etching for securtiy. When we looked at the car, I pointed out there was no etching on it. He said they just didn't get to it. So, I said, tell them not to do it, I don't want it. He told me that I get the money back from my insurance company. And that etching pays for itself. In any event, the salesman said that etching was mandatory there and it wasn't an option to decline it at this dealership and went on to tell me how salesmen have lost great commissions, because buyers sometimes refuse to pay the etching fee. When we wanted to buy the car, they refused to sell it to me unless I paid for etching. Again I heard how every car sold there has it. I pointed out that I checked with my insurance company and they said I would not get a discount for etching. When I told him this, he said my insurance company must be bad. Also from day one, he insisted no one would ever steal a car with etching on it. Nonsense. I told the manager if he showed me 5 cars purchased that day that had etching, I'd buy it. Well, as it turned out, none of them had it. They were only making me get etching because the price of the car was too good. This was rediculous... they gave me the price, now they are refusing to sell it to me without me paying for what most websites call one of the top 10 car dealer scams...... Etching! I walked.... I would never send anyone here. They believe in the etching scam. On friendliness..... I put very bad in survey because although they were friendly, they were also trying to take advantage of me. More
