I wish i never contacted them in the first place I am afraid my experience was unlike those of previous customers that rated this dealership so highly. Expecting to complete my purchase of a 2016 GTI I am afraid my experience was unlike those of previous customers that rated this dealership so highly. Expecting to complete my purchase of a 2016 GTI, instead I was met with a mishandling of communication errors between the sales, finance and general manager himself. Although the team clearly made a pricing error of $250, they refused to honor it. despite agreeing to it via email! . In addition, the team did not communicate the proper interest rate/rebate that is now advertised on the VWoA website, and refused to provide the advertised 1.9% top tier rate to a top tier qualified customer -- thanks for wasting my time sitting there... Finally, after having to absorb both disappointing bits of news, I was then told (via email) that my incoming car would have 150 miles on it. Folks - this is a brand new car, and my expectation is that the odometer would read in the single to low double digits. How does the team not communicate this critical piece of information to its customers? In case you're wondering what their response was -- "We're sorry, we made a mistake on the pricing and will not honor". Well, a lesson learned for me, and although I lost a few hours of my time, i have come to the conclusion that I saved the headache of dealing with such a lack of transparency. My advice -- if you really need to purchase from Flemington VW - get everything in writing and confirm it back twice! As a wise man once told me -- "Cut Once, Measure Twice"... Lesson Learned... No ill feelings toward the individual team members . but as for the General Manager -- Step up your game, or step down in this age of social media and sharing of customer experiences... More
