Everyone I met was professional, friendly and courteous. Appreciate the service video e mailed to me. I will need to call Todd to let him know that the warning light has reappeared despite service. Horrible scheduling and poor communication. 3-day job by the book took three plus weeks, even with the parts ordered ahead of time. This was not the first time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this Porsche service department has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a 2021 Porsche Taycan approximately six months ago with only 18,000 this Porsche service department has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a 2021 Porsche Taycan approximately six months ago with only 18,000 miles on it. After driving it a few thousand miles, I brought the vehicle in to complete several Porsche software updates. Approximately 100 miles later, the car displayed a serious electrical system malfunction warning. The dealership kept the vehicle for about two weeks and informed me the issue had been resolved. However, less than a mile after leaving the dealership, the exact same warning returned. The vehicle then remained at the dealership for more than two additional months. After all that time, I was told they still could not definitively diagnose the root cause of the problem. Instead, I was presented with a list of expensive possibilities. First, I was told a rear electrical module might need replacement at a cost of approximately $16,000, with only a 40-60% chance of solving the issue. If that did not work, one of the drive motors might need replacement at a cost exceeding $20,000. If that still did not solve the problem, the battery pack could potentially be the cause. What concerns me is that extensive online discussions from other Taycan owners describe similar electrical system faults that ultimately resulted in battery-related repairs covered under Porsche’s battery warranty. Despite this, I was being asked to consider tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket repairs before the battery system was even identified as the likely source of the issue. After more than two months in the shop, I still did not receive a definitive diagnosis. I was essentially being asked to authorize major component replacements through a process of elimination. The customer service aspect was equally disappointing. When I informed the service representative that I intended to contact Porsche Corporate regarding my experience, he responded by making a dismissive gesture—placing his hand behind his ear as if to say, “I can’t hear you,” or that my complaint did not matter. That behavior was unprofessional and completely inappropriate for a luxury brand dealership. I purchased this vehicle only six months ago, have barely driven it, and it has spent a significant amount of time sitting at the dealership without a solution. My experience has left me with serious concerns regarding both the dealership’s diagnostic capabilities and the level of customer service provided. I would strongly encourage prospective Taycan owners to thoroughly research long-term reliability, warranty coverage, and service support before making a purchase decision. More
