I purchased a replacement PCM (Radio/ navigation/ central control screen) for my Cayenne from Byers Porsche Columbus. It arrived within the quoted timeframe. The unit did not respond as expected during initi control screen) for my Cayenne from Byers Porsche Columbus. It arrived within the quoted timeframe. The unit did not respond as expected during initial install. At that point I reached out to Byers Porsche Columbus with my concerns. They refused to confirm if what I was experiencing (unresponsive screen) was normal and instead advised me that all diagnostic costs would not be reimbursed if the unit was, as suspected, defective. Eventually my local dealer was able to enable basic functions, but peripheral functions required additional hours and ultimately Bluetooth phone could not be restored, so I contacted Byers Porsche Columbus again to rule out any part compatibility error. This is when things got nasty. In this unpleasant phase I was forwarded a screenshot that included a note from Porsche Global advising that the Bluetooth phone module must be retained and swapped. I was never advised of this during the order process and no longer have the faulty PCM this unit was purchased to replace. Byers response was that they have no obligation to share such information with their customers. The lesson here is, you should not trust this group. More
