Having purchased many cars - over many years - I've had lots of experiences with dealerships and sales people. I recently went on the market for a 911. I had a very specific car in mind and found multiple lots of experiences with dealerships and sales people. I recently went on the market for a 911. I had a very specific car in mind and found multiple across the country. I contact dealer after dealer and had different types of responses. Some had very limited knowledge of the car, some didn't like dealing with someone via email/txt (I assume they prefer buyers on-site), and I had some that just didn't respond. Until I ran into an excellent salesman, named Charley Hardy at Porsche SouthPoint. I had been by the dealership to see the car a couple of times and finally decided to drive it. Charley not only answered all of my questions in detail but he took the time to ask me questions about why I was buying this particular car. He allowed me to drive that car and another for comparison. He followed up by only asking me if I needed anything else. Most salesmen ask are you ready to buy, let's do some paper work, etc...When it came time to actually do all the real work of putting signatures together, getting the trade info and other extraneous data.
