The service department hours of operation completely overlap with my work scheduled. I fully anticipated having to take time off to have a warranty repair done. What I did not expect was how stubborn, condescending and apathetic the service manager was to my situation. I described the very simple issue in detail. It is self-evident when looking inside the car. I asked if he could go ahead and order the parts needed to complete the repair and would take the necessary time off to have it done. He said no, I had to bring it in for them to have a look. Mind you, the dealership is too far from where I live to drive over at lunch. He really could not have cared less. Also, when pressed with more detailed questions about the parts, he had no answers or deflected the conversation with info that was completely immaterial.
So, I called Porsche of North America and registered my concerns. The person I spoke to there, said they would call and encourage the dealership to "reach out" to me. I have not heard a peep.
I called 2 other Porsche service departments and they WERE willing to work with me, so it can be done if you care....but not this place!!!
