I recently went in to trade my Volvo that I had purchased new from Portland Volvo a few years back, that initial buying experience was a nightmare in itself. I had been told to return to Portland Volvo for new from Portland Volvo a few years back, that initial buying experience was a nightmare in itself. I had been told to return to Portland Volvo for the BEST trade in price when I was ready to do so, well that was NOT the case. I did end up purchasing another vehicle from them only to learn my lesson (that is not to go back). My sales person was wonderful, not a thing bad to say about this person. I was given squat for my very well kept Volvo only to see it on their sales lot with the price jacked up 5700.00. That made me furious. By the way the car does not even book for the price they have it listed for. Highway robbery! I did not expect to get a ton for my trade just something fair with some negotiation, but to me (and this is just my opinion) that was a big slap in the face. I work for a LARGE hospital in Portland Maine and will not hesitate to tell my story about my dealings with Portland Volvo. All I can say in closing is I hope they sleep well at night, ripping people off the way they do. Also they left me with repairs that needed to be done on the car I bought to have fixed on my own, not good customer service in my book. I know people will say well you should have walked out, you know how dealerships are... Well yes I do but I truly thought they were true to their word on at least a few things. I do have to say for all service repairs on my first vehicle purchased with Port Volvo, I did receive A+ treatment. More

I told him what I was looking for in the car and he immediately found exactly what I wanted. He introduced me to the Service MAnager and other staff that I would meet when I was in the dealership. It was clearly evident to me that I was in a dealership that cared about the customer and their customer service skills were exempelary. I have not owned a Volvo before but my experience with POrtland Volvo has now converted me to a Volvo owner. I have told my friends about Portland Volvo and Ralph D'Angelo and what a pleasure it was to work with them and what a great new car I own! More

I bought a car from these guys while living in CT...took the bus to Portland, Scott picked me up in the car. We spent as long as we wanted to going over the car, and Scott was very helpful and knowledgable the bus to Portland, Scott picked me up in the car. In less then 15 minutes we were back on the road with our new car and a full tank of gas. It was the best of my 3 out of state car buying experiences I've had. Prompt response to internet inquiry by Scott resulted in a trip to Portland Volvo the following day. We were met by Scott at the appointed time and then met Ralph and test drove 2 vehicles.
