All of the employees at Premier Toyota were up front, honest, and especially friendly. I went in there seeking a specific car advertised on the internet, which was no longer available, but they offered More

I feel that Premier does its best to milk every cent out of me. If I go in for a "Free" oil change or Auto Butler service, then I also have to pay for a car cleaning or some whatever-thousand mile service More

Premier Toyota of Amherst responded

Good morning lmcmilli, I'm sorry to hear about your service review. I would like to try and reconcile this with you if I may. Let's talk about the service issues. You feel like the service department is trying to take advantage of your free services by "sneaking" in other service work, is that correct? Just to verify, I hope you received a copy of both the Toyota suggested maintenance guide as well as Premier's suggested maintenance guide (your sales rep should have given it to you...if not I do apologize as it lists prices for suggested service work). We don't try to do business this way and I'm sorry if it is coming across as sneaky. Our service personnel are supposed to inform you about maintenance that helps preserve the life of your vehicle. They suggest things that prevent exessive wear and tear and keep your Toyota running longer. By no means are they to "sneak" in extra work just to make money. They are to ask your permission before proceeding with such service work. Do they ask for your permission? I agree with you that sometimes it isn't necessary to do everything they suggest, so mostly I just say "no thanks". Don't be afraid to hurt their feelings by saying "No" (they're tough, they can handle it.) Also, you had a complaint about AutoButler, correct? Do you recieve the 6-month notifications reminding you to bring your vehicle in for a treatment? On that card it explains the car wash and cleaning for $9.95. I understand if you don't want to have to pay for that, and you shouldn't have to. I apologize if you didn't receive that reminder card. When you bring your vehicle back for your next AutoButler application, you can also decline the cleaning service (I did with my car...I'd rather do it myself anyways, haha.)I would hate to see you lose the Paint Protection program because of this. If you still wish to get out of it, I will gladly talk to my finance manager about the options available. I hope we can resolve these concerns
