NOW TO THE SERVICE DEPT . I WENT IN FOR A CHANGING OF THE BRAKE PADS ALTHOUGH IT DID NOT SHOW I NEEDED THEM YET , I DECIDED TO GET THEM DONE . AFTER THE MECHANIC , JOHNATHAN STARTED , HE TOOK A PICTURE OF ONE FRONT ROTOR AND SHOWED IT TO ME AND IT LOOKED ALL SCARRED UP , SO , WE DECIDED TO CHANGE THE FRONT ROTORS TOO . THEN I BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT CHECKING OUT WHAT YOUR REP WAS TELLING ME ABOUT ALL 4 ROTORS FRONT AND BACK AND I SAID FIX THEM TOO . I ALSO FORGOT TO ASK HOW MUCH THE COST WOULD BE NOW . LOOKING BACK AND DISCUSSING WITH MY DAUGHTER AND OTHERS , ITS MOST OPINION THAT I MAY HAVE BEEN TAKING FOR A RIDE AND SOME WORK WAS NOT NECESSARY , LIKE THE REAR ROTORS . I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT I HAD A LEAKY SHOCK ALTHOUGH I PARK MY CARD INSIDE MY GARAGE AND NEVER SAW ANYTHING ON THE FLOOR AND WHEN YOU CHANGE ANYTHING ON ONE SIDE , YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE OTHER SIDE TOO . . SO WHAT STARTED AS A $ 480 BILL WOUND UP TO BE $ 2413 . DOLLARS AND THAT WAS NOT EXPECTED BUT , I BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND SOMETIMES PEOPLE DO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF .I'D LIKE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU JASON BOUHNER SINCERELY JOHN HENDRICKSON P.S. YOU DID ALSO GRIND THE ROTORS PREVIOUSLY FOR $600 AND JUST LAST MONTH YOU CHECKED OUT MY A/C UNIT AND CHARGED $ 1300 FOR A A/C COMPRESSOR ALL OF THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHATS HAPPENING HERE , WHAT DO YOU SAY JASON ?? OK JASON , I REMOVED MY PERSONAL INFO , BUT , LIKE TO ADD SOMETHING ELSE THAT WAS WRONG ON YOUR END . I SPECIFICALLY WAS ASSURED BY YOUR REP . THAT YOU WERE TO USE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON ANY CAR PARTS AND I SEE ON THE BILLING RECEIPT A QUOTE THAT STATES " CUSTOMER OPTED FOR NON OEM BRAKE PADS " WHICH IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE . The process of purchasing a car just takes too long. Over the last 12 to 15 years I have purchased and/or leased a number of vehicles from Prestige Toyota but this will probably be my last. The service d Over the last 12 to 15 years I have purchased and/or leased a number of vehicles from Prestige Toyota but this will probably be my last. The service department has always been excellent. However, I must say the sales department customer service has gradually gone down hill for me. Let me explain my recent experience. I had leased a Venza in 2015, a vehicle I have been very happy with (this was my second Venza). Now that a new Venza is no longer available I decided to purchase my leased Venza. I visited the sales location in Ramsey in early July to make the necessary arrangements. It soon became apparent I was not going to have enough time that day (July 5) to make the purchase. I learned that the vehicle needed a certified inspection by the Toyota service dept which would take at least an hour. I decided to make another appointment for Sept 11 as I was going to be traveling for much of July and all of August. On Sept 11 I arrived at 10:45 for my 11;00 appointment with all the documentation needed from me including a certified check for the necessary amount. I was told the service department had been advised of the inspection needed and would be ready for me. When I got to the Mahwah location it seems they did not know anything about this, said they were very busy but would fit me in as soon as possible. I was told it would be 1 hr and 30 mins. I was pleasantly surprised when the car was ready after 1 hr and 15 mins. I drove back to the sales location in Ramsey expecting that all the paperwork would be ready and the process would take maybe an hour. Far from it. I was faced with the usual banter for another 2 hours plus. ...I need to check with my manager on that..........I need to check with my manager on this......... Where was the manager? Why didn't he come and ask me the questions? The whole transaction was a very frustrating process. I eventually left the Ramsey location around 3:30, nearly 5 hours after I had arrived. I was not at all satisfied with the process. More
