Writing this as a PSA because of a series of concerning issues. (Not one, not two, but ongoing issues) First; Fraud and Lack of Communication from dealership to affected customers: we , purchased our Vol issues. (Not one, not two, but ongoing issues) First; Fraud and Lack of Communication from dealership to affected customers: we , purchased our Volvo XR and bought a tire warranty. The employee who sold the warranty charged us the money but failed to process it. The dealership’s lack of proactive communication and follow-up on this matter added to the frustration, and required persistent efforts and only after we escalated to Volvo corporate did the dealership resolve the tire warranty issue (of course without any apology). The service department also presents their own set of challenges. Despite arranging my visit well in advance, including reserving a loaner vehicle, the service team’s attitude was dismissive and uncooperative. Initially, they flat out denied the availability of a loaner and appeared reluctant to undertake the necessary repairs (threatening with extra costs and upset that we provided a list of items that needed to be fixed). It was only after I insisted and involved the management that they agreed to provide the loaner and attend to the repairs. Had this been a one time problem, I would dismiss it as a bad service rep but unfortunately this has been a repeat experience with this particular dealership. Again, there was no apology, no pride in their work. Alas the SALES TEAM is as bad at customer service as the service team. Despite talking with sales team over email, then again meeting in person to confirm the purchase of extended warranty and asking about the process of purchasing the warranty. There was confusion and misinformation regarding the extended warranty. The sales team had advised that it could be purchased online without additional requirements, but the service team later contradicted this, stating a mandatory inspection was needed. This discrepancy and lack of clear communication further exemplified the dealership’s disorganized and misleading approach. Again no apology from the two sales people we worked with regarding the misinformation and the hassle. The lack of transparency and communication with customers affected by the warranty fraud is especially concerning. This series of experiences has led me to question the integrity and customer service standards of this particular dealership. More
