Twice my 2024 Maverick XLT hybrid had a dead 12 V battery. The service desk reported that the battery was good and that the charging system was working as required. The Service Manager just happened battery. The service desk reported that the battery was good and that the charging system was working as required. The Service Manager just happened to be in the area and explained that the dead battery was caused by an over the net update that will cause this to happen on occasion. The sevice desk guys did not know this and apparrently, neither did the tech. The SM showed desk agent how to find this info on the computor. The SM explained that Ford engineering is aware of the problem, but there is no fix currently available. My complaint: Why is the SM the only person that knew this? More
I brought my car in for a diagnostic, and they were able to identify the issue. At that time, I was told they did not have the part needed for the repair. An appointment was scheduled 2 days later to fix it to identify the issue. At that time, I was told they did not have the part needed for the repair. An appointment was scheduled 2 days later to fix it. However, when the day of the appointment arrived, I received a call saying they still did not have the part. I’m confused as to why an appointment was scheduled in the first place when the required part wasn’t available. This resulted in wasted time and could have been avoided with better communication and planning. More
