Excellent follow up and customer care I purchased a used vehicle jut over two years ago at the dealership and have brought my car in for regular service. I had been extremely satisfied wi I purchased a used vehicle jut over two years ago at the dealership and have brought my car in for regular service. I had been extremely satisfied with all the people I had dealt with at Pride. Late Spring of this year I made an appointment for an oil change When I brought my car in A young lady named Heather was at the service counter. She was writing up the service order and suggested several things according to the car's mileage. I told her that I was planning to do full service on my next visit and again stated I just wanted the oil change and would wait for my vehicle. I went to the waiting room and after about 30 minutes had a wonderful visit with Rose Ryan who always goes out of her way to check on me and see if I am satisfied. While we were talking, Heather came to the waiting room and asked to speak with me. .I went with her to the service area where she proceeded to give me a list of what I should be doing to my car and that the mechanics had recommended numerous items be repaired/replaced including the oil pan which could leak any day and the front brakes and the front ball joint and several other things.. At this point I had been there about an hour and I told her that all I had asked to be done was the oil change. She basically kept at it telling me this was all necessary. I told her to just have the oil changed and I went back to the waiting room. After another half hour or forty five minutes Rose came back in and asked me why I was still there so I told her what happened. A short time later (now about two hours in the waiting room, Heather came back and asked me to speak with her again. She told me that my front headlight was out and did I want that replaced...I said yes and reminded her that I had been there a while. She then started again trying to sell me the other service repairs even saying that she checked on the ball joint and it was covered so it would only be the $100 deductible. I was really agitated at this point and again said no. I had now been there over 3 hours and still didn't have my car. Rose had heard all this and went to see what the problem was. Another half hour passed and my car was finally ready. Over 3 hours for an oil change and so much anxiety caused by Heather. Rose knew I was very upset and said she would call me to follow up. I paid my bill and Heather still tried to make the additional sales by trying to schedule that work. I told he absolutely not and that I would take care of what needed to be done next time to which he replied that I had better not hit and potholes or use my breaks too much! I am sorry this is such a lengthy comment. I was pretty much done with ever going back to Pride but spoke later to Rose and decided to give it another shot. I think Stacy and Tony and Rose are awesome but Heather needs to be schooled in appropriate customer care. I will not deal with her again, I have been in sales for over 30 years and her way of doing business is poor.. I did have additional work done this week on my car and was happy with the service. NO Water/Extra charges I would first of all like to say that I am and have been a Hyundai customer since 1998 - I came over with Tony Fernandes when he left Pawtucket as he I would first of all like to say that I am and have been a Hyundai customer since 1998 - I came over with Tony Fernandes when he left Pawtucket as he is very informative and fair when it comes to care for my vehicle. I would like to voice my displeasure in what I thought may be a quick visit to the service department - I came in for an inspection sticker & oil change last saturday and walked out with a $706. bill. I know I let my inspection sticker lapse a few months expired in May 2016- but I was pretty much stuck between a rock and hard place as I am going away next weekend. I was told that I needed to replace my windshield wipers, replace the front stabilizer links, & rear brakes to be able to pass inspection. (as I do not have any other form of transportation I was at the dealership from 9 am until almost 1 pm.) As I review my receipt it states that I requested the wiper change which is incorrect. If I could have saved the almost $50 I would have passed on that as well. ( I'm sorry for being so upset but my son was actually flying home for military leave on saturday arriving at 1pm in Boston (which instead of me being at the airport I was driving away from the service lot) my son has already flown back to the base so I truly only had saturday night and sunday to spend with him. As a single mom who has raised her children alone - I truly was not happy). On a better note, I'd like to give a compliment for Rosemary Ryan - she a wonderful woman who is consistent with being pleasant and courteous to all of the customers. As she saw that I was very upset and was at the water machine and it was out of water with 90+ degrees outside I was parched. She went out of her way to give me her personal water bottle which I truly appreciate. If you are able to give someone a reward she definitely deserves one for going above and beyond the customers expectations. I as a loyal customer take note of those who treat their customers like family and she truly does. More
