I worked with Jose Rodriguez in the service department. He understood my unfortunate situation and did everything he could to get me back on the road in short order. He did a great job of communicating with me throughout my stay so that I had peace of mind about my car and could enjoy my family time. I thank Jose, the service department employees and BMW San Antonio for taking such great care of me and my family. More

Besides having to take my X5 in twice for the SAME thing and them having to keep my SUV for over a week each time, my vehicle was finally fixed and is running great. Really appreciated the loaner car program they have. Without that I would of been less patient and understanding. More

Service Items I have an older vehicle (2001) so it is expected that periodically there will be issues. When I first brought the car in, several parts needed replac I have an older vehicle (2001) so it is expected that periodically there will be issues. When I first brought the car in, several parts needed replacing, one of which was the general control module. The quality of workmanship was very good in my opinion, however, I was not consulted about the programming of the control module. As a result, there were a number of things I wanted programmed differently. A couple of examples include whether I wanted the windows to work automatically, whether I wanted daytime running lights to come on when the car was started, etc. My service advisor (Courtney) and the technician (Greg) have been very patient and responsive to going back and making things right. I do wish that we could have all been saved time by having a process in place to either copy the settings of the old control module (if possible) or provide the customer with a check-sheet of preferences to fill out which the technician could have gone by. On a very positive note, the technician is now working very diligently on some troubleshooting before he replaces a part (the alarm) that may not need replacing. I greatly appreciate that time and effort to save me money! Overall, each time a new issue has popped up on my vehicle, and there have been a few new items since the first visit, Courtney has been most helpful and responsive. My last observation is that I am not convinced there is a quality control process in place. One example of that is when I picked up the car the first time, the Service Engine Soon light was on and it had not been on when I dropped off the car. It seems to me someone should have already noticed that before returning the car to me. Even the guy who brought the car up front to return it to me if nobody before him had noticed. Just to be clear, I am not trying to say I think anyone there did anything to cause it to come on; just that somebody should have noticed it came on while the car was still in the care of the service department. Would have given 5 stars for overall rating and quality of work if I would have had input to the general control module programming settings and seen more evidence of a quality control process at the end of the repairs.
