Bob treats me like a member of the family, and the work done in the service department is "spot on." Any questions I have are answered completely and accurately. The entire operation is professional and "customer friendly." Performance Toyota truly has a winning formula: superb product, great people, and wonderful service! People from all over the area do business with them --- they really ARE worth the drive! More
Our car buying experience was just short of a fiasco, and I already sent the corporate Toyota company an email about it. We were on vacation in Memphis and our time there was limited. Our salesman showed u I already sent the corporate Toyota company an email about it. We were on vacation in Memphis and our time there was limited. Our salesman showed us 2 cars in our price range (both Prius's, as that was what I wanted); the cheaper one had a badly cracked windshield but he assured us it would be fixed first thing the next morning if we wanted to buy it (it was late evening and they were within closing time), and he told us it was safe to drive in the meantime. He also promised to clean some adhesive glue off the dash. We bought the car and paid CASH in hand for it. We waited through the usual paperwork (which always takes forever no matter what you do) and took the car home. The salesman never called me in the morning like he said, then when we showed up with the car he said it couldn't possibly be fixed until 3-4 days later, or even by contract once I drove it home to my hometown (2 hours away). My dad was furious and called SafeLite, who said the windshield could and should be fixed immediately and was extremely dangerous to drive in the meantime due to the size and nature of the crack. We had it fixed at our own expense with a promised reimbursement check from the Toyota dealership. That night it rained and we discovered the trunk leaked water. We took it back to the dealership another day later than the purchase date, planning to get our reimbursement check and have the trunk leak fixed. Everyone we dealt with was either rude or indifferent, or absent - e.g. the sales manager who had to sign off on the reimbursement check hadn't shown up to work yet, and our salesman couldn't give us any idea when he'd be there. The service manager (who was rude) informed us it would take half the day, minimum, to fix the trunk, and didn't offer us a shuttle, phone call, or seat in the waiting room for our trouble. They released the car in the early evening with blue tape all stuck to the outside of the trunk (I had to go back inside and ask what it was and how long it had to be on there), and the dashboard still hadn't been cleaned. If this is how Toyota treats customers who pay cash for their cars, they ought to be ashamed. I hope action is taken, whether disciplinary or otherwise, to bring this dealership up to proper standards. More
All we can say about Performance Toyota is "wow!" We called them ahead of time to see if we could come check out a car we saw on their website, and when we got there it was pulled out front wa "wow!" We called them ahead of time to see if we could come check out a car we saw on their website, and when we got there it was pulled out front waiting for us. Immediately, we were treated to a lengthy test drive and told all about the car's awesome features. It is obvious that the staff at Performance Toyota really know about the cars they sell. After deciding that we loved it, Jimmy got our information, crunched the numbers, and came back with a note based on what we told him our financial limits were-no haggling-no salesman talk-just realistic results. This was out second purchase from Performance Toyota as we are starting a family and needed a bigger vehicle. I truly feel that Jimmy and the Performance Toyota staff really listened to our needs and then does everything they can to meet them. It's obvious they care and we knew we wanted to work with Jimmy again. Not your typical car salesman-personable, down-to-earth, and real. Since buying our car 5 days ago, I have received two emails and two phone calls to see how I'm loving my new car-now that's customer service! Jimmy and Performance Toyota deserve nothing less than 5 stars and I think we've found our dealership for life. Thanks again guys! More
I could not be more happy with my car-buying experience at Performance Toyota. Having looked for weeks at several other brands of cars and at several other dealerships (who doesn't do that when buying a n at Performance Toyota. Having looked for weeks at several other brands of cars and at several other dealerships (who doesn't do that when buying a new car??), Performance Toyota was simply a breath of fresh air. Ron Kelley was my initial salesperson who was so patient and answered every question I threw at him. There was absolutely no pressure but he let it be known that he was available 24/7 if I had any additional questions. Having finally made my decision (oh, that was an exhausting process!) to purchase my new 2012 Highlander I came back to Performance Toyota and Ron was off that day. So, we were introduced to Jimmy Rooker. Jimmy picked up right where Ron left off. He guided us through the entire process with professionalism, ease and humor. He made sure we were 100% happy and satisfied with every aspect of our purchase. My bottom line....Ron, Jimmy and Performance Toyota far exceeded other dealerships (and believe me, there were many) in customer service, price and overall experience. More
I recently bought a car from Performance Toyota and was appalled by the experience. The sales staff lied about the Bluetooth capabilities of the 2012 Avalon in order to sell the car to me, with the full kn appalled by the experience. The sales staff lied about the Bluetooth capabilities of the 2012 Avalon in order to sell the car to me, with the full knowledge that Bluetooth was an essential feature that I needed to have in the car. When I tried to get the Performance Toyota staff to help me solve the Bluetooth problem, they were ignorant about how the system worked and about basic information such as which phones the system would connect to. Instead of working with me to find a solution to this problem, the staff at Performance Toyota wasted hours of my time and lied again about calling me back the next day to fix the problem. To date, no one from Performance Toyota has called me about fixing this problem- and it has been 3 weeks since they promised to call! The staff members at Performance Toyota have clearly demonstrated that they are willing to do anything (even lie) to make sales, but once the sale is made, staff members don’t care at all about the customer. If you buy a Toyota please buy from anywhere but (Under)Performance Toyota! More

David Sees, Asst. Service Manager, has always been great when I go in for service. Have never felt like he was pushing any service that I did not need. Explains what is being done and what/why he recommends when I go in for service. Have never felt like he was pushing any service that I did not need. Explains what is being done and what/why he recommends. Never had a problem about quality of work performed and I've now traded in my 1999 Honda Accord for a 2009 Tacoma, partly because of the Toyota quality and the other, I know I can trust David and this dealership when I do have to come in for service.
