I purchased a 2020 Toyota Tacoma from RK used car lot in Virginia Beach Virginia. I had the best car buying experience I have ever had. Well I guess the only way to get the owner of RK Chevy to contact me is to leave him a poor review?? Hmmmm ok so me and my wife moved to VA. a few months back to be closer to our grandchildren and hopes of a contact me is to leave him a poor review?? Hmmmm ok so me and my wife moved to VA. a few months back to be closer to our grandchildren and hopes of a better life. I suffer from an incurable autoimmune disease that left me unable to work for more then 6 years which ruined my credit. 2 weeks before moving to VA. my doctor informed me I might be in remission, I am sure you can imagine the joy of hearing those words especially during a world wide pandemic that would be a death sentence to someone with a weakened immune system!!! Upon arriving in VA. me and my wife tried from 1 car lot to the next being told your credit is to low sorry or you need more then half the cars value before we can touch you? I came home and me and my wife prayed hoping for a miracle. The next morning I remembered my step father Woody telling me back in the 90's the family at RK are good people and will never do you wrong if you ever need a car. That memory gave me a spark of hope as I headed that way only to be treated like they couldn't do anything for me after they told me they could at least in house finance me?? I left a bad review and which lead to someone contacting me and asking me would I give them a second chance and please remove the review. I decide to give it one more chance and they had the guy that I mentioned in the bad review pick a car for me, that should have set off red flags but I was desperate to get a ride so I could start working for the first time in 6+ years. This guy only gave me 1 option and now it makes perfect sense that it was a lemon he had it out for me for leaving a bad review of him!!! During the signing of the contract the finance manager explained my account was in house and I had to make 6 straight on time payments before it could be sold to an outside finance company which would then let me build credit hmm that sounded cool? Well as soon as I start calling about problems on the car behind my back they sold the account just 2 months into the in house loan so that was a bold face lie and further makes them look like they are taking advantage of me. I am a Proud son of a 2 time combat veteran of Vietnam and Grenada and I feel its my duty to tell my story in hopes it stops someone else from falling victim of this car lots poor practices. Also some things were done with my bank card that I will leave for an attorney. If anyone other then one of the owners calls me you will be hung up on. There is a ton more to this story I will leave for my next review, because I am not going away RK. Today is a review tomorrow 10 on your side and Monday attorney? The ball is in your court RK, I have the one thing on my side that cant be denied and that's its all true and can be proven I await your call! More

I had a bad experience in purchasing a vehicle a week before going to RK. I had been sold a vehicle by another dealer that looked great but turned out to be completely rusted underneath, from bumper to b before going to RK. Luckily, I was able to return it but was somewhat soured with the experience and I am still waiting on the return of my substantial down payment. My family and I have purchased used vehicles from RK many years ago so I wanted to see what they had and how competitive their prices were. I really wanted a Subaru but didn't think I would be able to find one in my price range. I very nice man named Richard, in the sales department asked me a few questions and walked me over to a vehicle that was exactly what I was looking for. Color, model and price were all perfect. Due to my concerns on the condition of the prior vehicle, they told me I could have it checked out on my own to make sure it was satisfactory. They even had one of their managers come out and assure me that this vehicle had been thoroughly inspected, and allowed my son to attach a meter to test it himself. Everybody made me feel satisfied that I was getting a great vehicle. I have not had a "new to me" vehicle in a very long time but my experience at RK was more pleasant than I ever expected. I drove away happy. More

Unorganized and frustrating to deal with. Called about a truck for sale at 8:50 am. Was told it’s available by Marcus and Ron Coleman. I think Ron has concrete in his shoes he moved so slow.
