I should have inquired how long would it take. 4 hours later I see my car is finished so asked for the keys. I was told that the woman had my records and keys. She couldn't fine either and paged the maintenance supervisor. He was busy checking others out but did find my maintence record and my keys. I also had you cancell the oil change as Iit had been performed a month earlier by you. ( Should be good for 10,000 miles. not 300!) James Perkins. 2013 Legacy More

Poor finish on the paint The service center did a cheap job of polishing my car afterwards and left lines over the entire body of my vehicle. Would not recommend. Three trips for practically no answers I'll first preface this by saying that I dont know much about cars. However, I do know that 2017 Crosstreks under 20,000 miles don't usually have many, if any, issues. After 4 trips, I know practically no new information about what's wrong with my car. My first appointment was April 3rd, when I brought my vehicle down after it started making a pulsing noise with vibrations that I could feel under my feet anytime I hit 45 mph or faster. After waiting a couple hours while they looked at my vehicle, I was told they think it might be something in the transmission, but they didn't have time to look into the transmission that day. I was told I should be fine to drive my vehicle in the meantime. We set up a follow up appointment for April 24th, I show up, drop my vehicle off at 7:30am, get the loaner, and go about my day (I live in Ames). A little past 12:30, I get a call that they think it's a misalignment and they tell me I must've hit a pot hole because there are a lot of potholes around Ames. I'm then told that I shouldn't realign my tires until potholes are patched up because it could happen again. So I go down to pick up my car and drop off the loaner, I'm being checked out, and I read through the comments sheet to see what they did. The comments said that they took it out for a test drive, and they think it's a misalignment, and they'd have to rotate tires to figure out which one. That was the end of the comments at that time. No info on what else they checked (or if they checked anything else). I asked if I could talk to someone about it before I signed, and two other individuals looked the sheet over since Dennis had gone home and couldn't explain it to me. I ultimately was sent back up to Ames with the loaner vehicle because the other mechanics couldn't figure out more information or decipher what the comments could mean about my car. I was told that they'd call me about it the next day to sort it out. Next day rolls around, and I haven't heard from them by 2pm. I call Ramsey to try to sort it out, and have to leave a message. I get a call back from Dennis a few minutes later, and he said that it was a misalignment. Didn't know which tire was misaligned, but he was certain it was a misalignment. I asked him if they checked the wheel bearings to make sure that they did, and he said that they did and those were okay. I had him put that into the comments as well as add other info into the comment section so that it actually made more sense. He said that even if I got my tires realigned, they would make the noise until I bought new tires, but I wouldn't need new tires until December based on the tread, so I'd be stuck with the noise until then. I went down to retrieve my vehicle and he was there to visit with that evening. I asked him how he knew that it was misalignment if they didn't check to see what tire(s) might be misaligned. He said he'd show me when my vehicle came up front. He said the the tires are smoother one way than the other if you rub your hand over the tread, and while I was standing there said that 3/4 tires felt misaligned based on this method. It sounded like hogwash to me, but again, I don't know vehicles. I left, not sure what else to do. There was no mention of looking at my transmission, which was the original plan for the second appointment. I had my friend's dad who regularly works on their vehicles ride with me to listen to it, and he essentially said I was being fed bull. I had another friend who works on vehicles ride and listen to the sound, and he said it sounded mechanical. I'm having another friend ride with me this week to listen to it since he regularly works on the 4+ vehicles that he owns and knows someone who works on Subaru engines who might have a better idea since he's less familiar with the CVT system. I feel like I'm being run for my money, but I have no true knowledge other than friends saying that Ramsey is feeding me a bunch of bull. All I can say is that I'm disappointed that Subaru is not living up to the quality of vehicle and service that I expected from them, and if I find out that something else is wrong with my vehicle, beyond it apparently being a misalignment and tires, I doubt that my next vehicle will be a Subaru. Recall Great dealership, but it’s stuck in the 80s with their inspection system. Might as well have a stone tablet with a Chisel. Thank you Great dealership, but it’s stuck in the 80s with their inspection system. Might as well have a stone tablet with a Chisel. Thank you More
