They have always picked me up and dropped me off at work on time and the drivers are friendly and courteous. The waiting area is clean and comfortable and has free coffee and snacks. The service advisors have always been courteous. Those are about the only good things I have to say about this service center. I have a 2011 Forester that has had nothing but problems. I realize the service department at Ramsey didn't build it, but getting it fixed has been a miserable experience. I caught them being dishonest more than once. The most recent problem I had is an issue with a rebuilt engine. I am the lucky owner of one of the Foresters that burned a significant amount of oil. For years, they told me burning a quart of oil every 5000 miles was normal. Eventually, due to a lawsuit I think, Subaru fixed the engine. They rebuilt it using a new block and some other new parts and some old parts from the previous engine. When I was on my way to pick it up, the advisor called me and said they had lost the dipstick, apologized, said he didn't have one in stock and had to order one. I picked it up a few days later and I think the invoice said something like 'customer lost dipstick'. Whatever. When I went to put something in the back I noticed a number of important looking parts scattered throughout the cargo area. I got the advisor, he apologized again, and they finished putting the engine together. I got it home and it leaked oil, although it was a very small leak. I took it back a couple times and they never fixed the leak. Advisor said they accidentally bent the 'front cover.' I figured I could live with a small drip and gave up. Fast forward about two years. The engine starts leaking oil significantly and the burning oil and burning plastic smells are overwhelming at times. I take it in to Ramsey and they confirm that it is leaking from several gaskets. I guess they let the new guy put it together two years ago. Estimate was about $3,200 to fix it. I have no confidence they would fix it correctly, so why bother. So I am stuck with a nice 7 year old Subaru with a fairly new engine that leaks oil like a sieve. I'll never purchase another Subaru or any car from this dealership ever again.. More
Always easy to set an appointment and timely service. I have always found help when needed...bringing in the car or help on the phone. So now I'm thinking maybe it isn't normal after all. More
