I brought my vehicle in for routine maintenance. No sticker was left in my vehicle as to when the next visit should be. Ramsey technicians have never gone through the checklist with me. Had issues with 1st service of a new 2020 Outback. My wife took car in for its 1st 6 month check-up and service and to check the dealer installed rear seat cover. The service writer basically told my w My wife took car in for its 1st 6 month check-up and service and to check the dealer installed rear seat cover. The service writer basically told my wife the car did not need serviced because of the low mileage and did not take the time to even look at seat cover, he told her to take vehicle to some sewing place to be modified, and also asked my wife if she wouldn't rather be shopping than waiting on car to be serviced. She came home. I wrote dealership an email saying that the car should be serviced per the warranty guidelines published. The service manager agreed that the car should have been serviced per our request although he had never seen a warranty issue because of not following the service guidelines. He said they would give us a loaner and get the job done. So about a week after the original appointment they said they would pickup/deliver the car at 10am. At 11am I called and asked where they were, they had forgot to deliver loner. At around noon driver showed up with loaner. Their driver hit my fence backing out of drive and busted our new car mirror off. He said it would be fixed, I notified dealer shortly after noon. Around 2pm service person called and apologized and said they would order a new mirror for me and keep me informed of all progress and to just to keep the loaner, he also said it typically would be 2 to 3 days. About 7 days (so much for keeping us informed) later got a call at about 1pm or 2pm saying car was done and they will call before leaving shop. Around 4 they called and said van driver had family issue and the person that was to bring my care had to drive the van, so they would deliver car the next day. So car originally was to be serviced on 06/08 and we got it back on 6/24. Not a good experience. More
My initial encounter with the appointment scheduler was not enjoyable, but my interaction with the service technician was fantastic.
