Nov 10th, arrived at 7:30 for an oil change and service on our back doors not unlocking electronically. We were asked if we were waiting. We said yes, as we live out of town. We were told the wait could on our back doors not unlocking electronically. We were asked if we were waiting. We said yes, as we live out of town. We were told the wait could be long and we better have bought something to do. I thought that was an odd statement and also the doors could have easily been a fuse. I went to the service desk at 8:30 and asked if they had any idea on length of time, and I was told "they are working on it". I then went back to the service desk at 10:30 and was told again, "they are working on it". I then told him there should be a note in the computer saying that we could have a loaner car as we live out of town. He said that isn't possible and that the sales people handle that. No offer to take me to a salesperson and explain the situation. The reason there was supposed to be a note in the computer was we previously had a terrible experience with the service department, on June 2nd, where we waited 8 hours in your waiting room with no correspondence from anyone. I filed a complaint with that service and we received a call from someone there, on June 10th, who told us a note would be put in the computer that we were to get a loaner car..Now we have waited 4 hours, with no correspondence from anyone. Ridiculous! I decided to go find a salesman to talk to and ask about a loaner vehicle. I told him that we were promised a note was put in that we were to get one, but he just said, "we don't do that, and would not do that because of the distance we live, it would put too many miles on the vehicle. Basically laughed in my face. Still not one person has communicated with us about our vehicle. Approximately 3:30 they came and said the vehicle was ready. And that we would have to come back to get actuators replaced. Look up on google how long it takes to diagnose door Actuators. NOT 8 hours. We sat there for 8 HOURS, no breakfast, no lunch. We are furious. And everyone we tell about this experience is in awe. Yes you offer a shuttle, and had we known they were keeping our car for 8 hours we would have had them take us somewhere to have lunch. But we had NO communication. My husband is disabled and we cannot go to a mall and walk around for 8 hours either. We were told to come back for the replacement and it would take 3 hours. We returned on Nov. 18th and they replaced the parts and we were out of there in an hour and a half. Pleasant surprise. We were planning on purchasing a new Honda Pilot 2026 when they arrive as we always trade before our vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. (I asked a salesman when they would arrive and he said he had no idea. End of that conversation.) Needless to say we will not step foot again into your dealership. You just lost a sale also! TWO times waiting 8 hours is not acceptable, and no communication makes it all the more unacceptable. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" Lynn & Sharla PS: My brother-in-law purchased his vehicle from McGrath. He live 45 minutes away. One time they took him home and picked him up the next day (obviously not worried about the miles on their vehicle. The next time he had service they gave him a loaner car. More

The only thing about my experience that I do not like is the instant e-mail asking for a review and the phone call from a call center in Fort Dodge. I find both to be annoying. Service at Randy Kuehl Honda initially we had called the service department they told us to bring it in to the service department @ 7:00 am we got the car their I told him all of the instrument panel warnin service department they told us to bring it in to the service department @ 7:00 am we got the car their I told him all of the instrument panel warning lights were illuminated and was checked in they called us and told us what was wrong with our car they told us the fuel injectors were leaking fuel and that they needed to be changed and said the oil would also need drained and reserviced and oil filter changes and because of the miles on the car the spark plugs were carboned up and also need to be changed. We told the to go ahead and fix it. After the car was repaired we went to pick up the car and paid the bill and my wife drove it home. The next afternoon I got into the car I was going to the Fairfax Legion after I got on the high I tried to accelerate the car would not accelerate most I got was 2,000 RPM fastest I could go and all the instrument lights illuminated again was about 9 miles per hour and Iturned around and took it back home got our truck. next morning I called the dealer what had happened and they told me I would need to ring it in. I didn't feel comfortable to drive over to the dealership so I called for a town truck to pick it up. Late in the afternoon I called the service department see what was wrong wih the car and they said they drove it and it drove ok and they said what I was talking about and had taken it in to the shop and I guess the had put on the machine and found one cylinder was miss firing and found plug porcelain had broken off into the cylinder and they were trying to vacuum it out this went on for two to three days and they said they would have to call Honda motor company to get permission to remove the hesd off the engine every call that was made I had to call the service department to find out what was going on with the car except for one call and they told me they broke a bolt off in turbo. We told them we needed a loner car for the weekend they gave us a Honda Passport. We really like the Honda CRV and we looked at some of the new Honda CRV but my wife is short and the instrument panel sticks up to high for her see over it it interferes with her eyesight so this wound not work. the loner that they gave us said it couldn't be taken out of state we were going to Galesburg, IL so we had to cancell out that weekend. We started looking at some other deailerships ant their cars We found a Subaru Outback that would work. we went to Dave Wright Subaru and looked at what he had and wind going to Waterloo and bought up their that was 3,800.00 cheaper. Doesn't mean we wouldn't look at honda again. s far as the service at Randy Huehl Honda we would not recommend service because fo not keeping us informed of the status of our car it was their for two weeks. We had to call for updates every 2-3 days. we understand parts break down but updates are important to a customer. More
