This was not a paintless dent repair this looks like someone ran into you considering how big these dents are ,( you work at a school and someone must of hit you) this protection is for door dings only not to fix an insurance claim! When you came into our service department nothing was mentioned about arm rest or trim piece, Seems like your wanting us to fix things that you broke! When you left the dealership it was perfect because you wouldn't have taken the car when you purchased it last June!

I am not a first time Honda owner nor a first time Randy Kuehl Honda customer. I bought a Honda Pilot from Randy Kuehl in 2005 and was very happy with the vehicle and the service. My recent experience has been different and I have had to resort to this DealerRater forum to be heard. When I stopped by the dealership, Dan Quinby condescendingly pointed out that "everyone knows what paintless dent repair covers. As a teacher, you should know better." Really? A quick review of the only documentation I received gives no further explanation than "DENT PROTECTION" and an informal polling of friends and family reveals a variety of interpretations of "door ding" and "paintless dent". What may be clear to those who work daily in the auto industry NEEDS TO BE HONESTLY EXPLAINED to those who do not so that an informed decision can be made whether or not to purchase additional coverage. I am willing to admit that the additional insurance I bought is not intended to cover the dents I incurred. I know that now. Is Mr. Quinby similarly willing to admit that that was not sufficiently explained to me? Had it been, I would not have purchased additional coverage and we wouldn't be having this dispute. Was the car in perfect condition when I drove it off the lot in June? Yes. Does a dealership's responsibility end there? Not if quality construction and customer relations matter. I was willing to overlook the need to tuck a piece of trim back around a door and live with a wobbly armrest because I had larger issues to deal with. It is a shockingly low standard of quality (not to mention insulting) to blame the customer for "breaking things" by simply driving his brand new car. In my mind, an investment of over $30,000 should come with quality craftsmanship and a measure of respect for the consumer. I ended up with neither. -James Burke
