There book said it would take 3 hr to install. the hourly rate is $ 125 an hr. Way to much for what was required. More

This last Saturday (10/24/20) was my first experience of driving and buying a Ford. While in Florida over last Winter.... I had sold my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab truck and ordered a new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado last March. Due to the CHINA Virus..... my vehicle order had been canceled by GM. I have WAITED for months to place an order on a new 2021 Silverado.... and had been told recently that after placing my order..... the WAIT for delivery would likely be February 2021. In knowing that my GrandSon, Kenny McKeever is a Salesman at Ray Skillman Ford in Greenwood..... I decided to call him and ask his advice regarding a new truck...... (even though I would probably not listen). Of course Kenny KNOWS that I have been a lifelong, dyed in the wool Chevy Man. So Kenny said: "Hey Pops, come and see me.... check out a new Ford.... and we will just visit for a while. No pressure whatsoever..... just stop by to visit". Upon arriving.....Kenny gave me a nice tour of the dealership.... showed me around..... and although I was a bit "reluctant"..... we started looking at several Ford F-150 Super Crew trucks..... while we were visiting with each other. Kenny asked me if I would like to drive a new Ford. "OK.... I guess it won't hurt to drive one". It turns out that we drove a few different trucks..... and started looking much more closely at a couple more. I could hardly believe how much I LIKED the new Ford Trucks!! Being a Chevy Man..... I admittedly knew NOTHING about a Ford. Of course Kenny has WIDE KNOWLEDGE of the products he sells.... so it was very easy for him to answer all of my questions. Now I am IMPRESSED!! Not just with the new Fords..... but very much so with Kenny..... the dealership in general..... the very CLEAN and FRIENDLY environment..... and with the Sales Manager, Brent and the Finance Manager, Carrie. All three of these folks treated myself and my Wife with the utmost of FRIENDLINESS and RESPECT. Ray Skillman Ford in Greenwood, IN is truly one of THE NICEST vehicle dealerships we have ever had the pleasure to visit..... period. Brent and Kenny LISTENED to my needs and concerns..... and worked closely together to put a deal together on my very FIRST brand new Ford Truck!! When we concluded our business..... Kenny introduced us to their Finance Manager, Carrie. I gotta say that Carrie is THE LIGHT of this dealership!! Talk about a FRIENDLY, FUN and SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE finance gal..... WOW!! Carrie not only answered ALL of our questions...... but guided us toward a very SMART PLAN in the overall purchase of the vehicle financing. She is definitely the most CARING vehicle finance person that we have ever met..... ever!! She took all of the time that we needed to COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND all of the aspects regarding our purchase and our financing in total. We decided to leave our new truck at Skillman's..... to allow them time to have a sprayed-in bed liner installed.... and to have the front side windows tinted. Kenny followed up with me today with all of the details.... and to set a time for us to take delivery of the truck on Friday of this week. The KIND TREATMENT and PROFESSIONALISM showed us by Kenny, Brent and Carrie will not be forgotten!! I thought I would NEVER say this..... but I am HAPPY to become a Ford Man!! My daughter purchased a car at Ray Skillman 4 months ago. She had just made the 3rd payment when the car overheated and had to be towed. It was towed to Tom Wood Ford on 96th St. After being checked out we f She had just made the 3rd payment when the car overheated and had to be towed. It was towed to Tom Wood Ford on 96th St. After being checked out we find out it has a crack in the short block. Its a common thing with this model of car. It is a 2014 Fusion. It only had 62,000 miles on it at time of the purchase. My daughter did purchase this car "AS-IS". I attempted to contact the General Manager 2 different times, I would of contacted the sales person but there was not one. And the finance guy that did sell her the car no longer worked in the building. I did not receive any type of response. My daughter knows someone that works at the dealership, she contacted him. After telling him the situation he relayed the message to the GM & also the service manager was informed. My daughter was then told they would replace the short block at their cost, by this third party person. The price they offered her was not at cost, Tom Wood had already quoted a price and it was only $50.00 more. But what is really surprising to me is that after some inquiring we found out that the car in question is still under an extended warranty and will be until 5/2021 or 100,000. I can not figure out why a dealership (Ray Skillman) would sell a car as-is that had been sold as a Certified Pre Owned and still had remaining warranty. Also Ray Skillman has very poor customer service. Not one time did anyone reach out to her to see if they could help. She is a single working mother and needed to be able to get to work and get her child to school. And obviously if someone at the Ray Skillman would of took a minute to really look into it, instead of wanting her to pay have it fixed $(3800.00), they would of found the warranty. Tom Wood Ford has been incredible all along this process. I would highly recommend them. Their service department has went above and beyond. More
