I’d rather pour hot sauce in my eyes I admit it. I was an idiot to give Reliable so many chances to please me before I gave up. In the end, I would not only beg my friends and family NOT I admit it. I was an idiot to give Reliable so many chances to please me before I gave up. In the end, I would not only beg my friends and family NOT to go to Reliable, but I would also beg my enemies not to go to Reliable. It all began when I decided to use their service center rather than the usual mechanic I went to. I had my car sent in because my alternator went out. No big deal. I pick my car up a few days later and get home to realize that my keyless entry doesn’t work. I took it back in, they fixed it. No big deal. The next day my car dies and seems to be having electrical issues. After almost two weeks of tearing my car apart, I found out the service tech had mismatch a couple of fuses and wires which caused the computer to fry. Their mistake, yet I get billed for it. To help soften the pain from the big one I just took on that deal, they gave me a free oil change. I guess that’s supposed to fix everything? On my way home from this oil change, I’m headed down the highway at about 65 miles per hour when I hear a weird noise coming from around my front right wheel. Suddenly, a I hear a loud pop and my car jerks onto the shoulder. I get out to see what just happened. The plastic undercarriage, which they had removed for my oil change, was not properly replaced and had become caught in my wheel. I kid you not. I spent 20 minutes on the side of the interstate trying to get it all out from under my wheel. I called them 7 times over a 3 day period leaving patient and detailed messages, kindly asking for a return phone call. Upon NEVER receiving one, I decided to just say screw it. I was done with them. A short bit later, I needed brakes. No, I wasn’t going to let them do that after what happened, but I did need the pads to do the job myself, and they happen to be dealer only. While in there, I mentioned what had happened and also that I had never received a call. The service tech literally said “You should have just kept calling. It’s too late to do anything about it now.” Then there’s the last straw... my supercharger died. Being a very hard-to-find part that’s no longer made, I naturally went to the dealership (also under the advice of my warranty company). I checked in with the dealership a couple to three days a week to check on the process. Every time I was told that they were still looking for the parts. After SIX MONTHS of this, I had enough. (Mind you, they still had my inoperable car this entire time!) I began to look around online, and I come across a dealership in California who has the part in stock. I call to verify that they had it, and they did. In fact, they had 22 of them. I call my service tech to let him know, and he was going to get the ball rolling. Nope. I was told when he called that there were no parts available. Frustrated, I ended up having my car towed to another dealership who managed to not only get the parts I needed, but also had my car returned to me within a week. (I left them a great review!) I’ve honestly never heard anyone say good things about Reliable, and I understand why. Oh, and do know that it’s not just Reliable Toyota, but all Reliable dealerships in Springfield. Just drive another 30 minutes to someone else. xxxx, buy a horse and buggy! I promise it’s better than Reliable. More
