Poor customer service from beginning Purchased 2 vehicles from renn Kirby on same day in December. Noticed one vehicle had a crack in the windshield and pointed this out to the dealer(even though they supposedly had conducted a Maryland state inspection) and they agreed to fix. After leaving noticed a bottom brake light had a small chip(they would not fix). A month later had to get a twin turbo(was still under Audi warranty) replaced and the second vehicle rear brakes and a brake sensir replaced a it was faulty. After scheduling service my vehicle was dropped off at the dealership for repair I was told that it was ready in the afternoon on Tuesday. I leave work to pick up my vehicle to arrive to a note stating the entire dealership was closed due to weather. I did not receive a call informing me hey would close. I the look in my vehicle and see parts scattered indicating work was not complete. I then called back on Thursday to see if my car was ready to be told yes only to be called back five minutes later stating that it was just taken in the shower for repair he had made a mistake. I finally was able to get my car Thurs after dropping it off on a Monday. From start to this point (approx 4 months) it has not been a great experience and I'm not sure I could recommend anyone purchase from renn Kirby and I definitely would not trust them with my business again. Excellent Customer Care & On time Service I bought my vehicle here a few months ago and the first time it needed repair, they gave me a loaner suv. They had the car fixed and ready for pickup I bought my vehicle here a few months ago and the first time it needed repair, they gave me a loaner suv. They had the car fixed and ready for pickup as promised in 3 Days and the parts and labor was covered under warranty. This 2nd repair is also covered under warranty and was done in 2 Days. Ann was very helpful and professional very easy to deal with. She called me twice to let me know what is going on and what needs to be fixed and when the parts came and when it’s reafy for pick up. Horrible! If zero stars were an options that would be the case!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT buy a car from here. This has nothing to do with the sales team because TJ was great and has been trying to help my situation. I bought a 2017 Outlander Sport limited edition 3 weeks ago and it had 4 miles on it so it is brand new. It has this wonderful feature called apple car play. Well guess what it DOESNT work. I called last Friday the schedule an appointment to get my radio system looked at and spoke to Robert and made an appointment for Monday. Guess what Robert never put me into the schedule. So I show up Monday, I show Shaun the problem and he was very helpful and willing to help out and he witnessed the problem. They looked at my car even though Robert didn’t do his job. The service tech looked at it plugged his phone in and it didn’t glitch. They said they would have someone call me Tuesday because the called head quarters. Well they didn’t do that either. I finally got ahold of someone Thursday for them to turn around and say “it’s your phone” this was also from Robert. Well obviously you don’t know how to do your job because my husband has an iPhone and it does the exact same glitch. If Robert is the service manager and is a piss poor employee lacks customer service and knowledge and has no willingness to make the problem correct. I went back to TJ and told him everything he said he has reached out to the GM Mike and guess what! The general manager doesn’t even have customer service skills to address the situation or to even contact me to try to make the situation right. Needless to say I have a three week old car, I haven’t even made the first car payment and it’s broken and the horrible people at Renn Kirby do not want to fix the situation at any level. It amazes me they are even in business. Not to mention the fact that I am a service admin myself and if I dropped the ball and lacked customer service I would be fired immediately. More

This has been an extremely frustrating experience for me as well as taxing my overall well-being. I travel for work often and the issues I have encountered recently at Renn Kirby have impeded on my ability to do so. One month ago, I brought my car in for an oil change and to have my brakes looked at because I heard them making a noise while driving. The diagnosis was that the brakes were fine. Three days later I had the same issue of brake squeal while driving. The issue was again looked at by your service department and I again was told the brakes were fine. The issue persisted and when I had time to address this matter again, I brought the car back once again to Renn Kirby. The technician sprayed some brake dust from my brakes and I was told that should fix the issue. It did not fix the issue and the next day I brought the car in for the fourth time regarding the same issue. Later that day I was informed I needed a complete rear brake job costing several hundreds of dollars and this would take three days time. This was extremely frustrating and time consuming for me as I had to bring the car in four different times to have this even properly diagnosed. I never encountered anything like that before and was very perplexed at the whole matter. But I moved on and told myself I would continue to conduct business with Renn Kirby in the future because of my previous satisfaction with them. Two weeks after the rear brake job, as I was driving, my ABS and ASC indicators became illuminated. I again brought the car into Renn Kirby and was told that the wheel sensor was knocked loose when the rear brake job was performed and the technician fixed it and I was good to go. As I drove away from Renn Kirby, once again my ABS and ASC indicators became illuminated five miles down the road. I brought in my car once again this past Monday to have whatever is causing my ABS and ASC indicators illuminated fixed and left my car overnight with Renn Kirby. Four days later on Thursday I was told the problem is fixed. Apparently the pickup rings on my drum brakes (which were just replaced) were scratched and needed replaced. I was told these worn down rings should have been noticed during the previous brake job and my bill would be $388.85. I happily paid it and went on my way, only to have my ABS and ASC indicators become illuminated once again, just a few miles down the road as I drove away. More
Service department rip-off Renn Kirby service department is not honest. For example, I asked them to check my battery because my car seemed to be taking a longer time to start. Renn Kirby service department is not honest. For example, I asked them to check my battery because my car seemed to be taking a longer time to start. I was told that my battery just needed to have the fluid filled, when in fact it had a sealed battery. I suppose I was expected not to know that. In fact, it was a 2 year battery that was bad and still under warrenty. They tried to tell me that I needed a new air filter, which I had personally replaced myself 2 months earlier. They sold me a cabin filter, which my car did not even have! I asked them to replace ONE battery in my key remote. They replaced both batteries (not in my presence) and charged me $56, plus $8 for 2 new batteries, for "reprogramming" my remotes. When asked why, the reply was that they had to do that when replacing a battery. Funny, a few months before, they replaced a battery (in my presence) and I went on my merry way. No reprogramming needed. A few months after supposedly replacing both batteries and reprogramming the remotes, they tried to charge me another $56 to do the same thing, saying that it was necessary again. At that time, I again asked why they reprogrammed the remotes the previous time and was told that they wouldn't work "for some reason" after replacing the batteries. Replacing a battery in a remote does not change a computerized program between a remote and the car, it simply replaces a dead battery. Besides the fact that the key that had not been used regularly did not need a new battery. It worked fine. Long story short, I was stupid and paid these and other charges for unnecessary things before figuring their scam out completely. The ONLY reason that I returned there after knowing of the battery, air filter and cabin filter scams was because the dealer is the only one who can work on your keys (to the best of my knowledge) It is so hard to find an honest shop to work on your car, but I can assure you that they are out there somewhere. Find them! Sadly, Renn Kirby is not one of them! I personally would expect honesty from a dealer before a shop, especially since it is a given that you will pay a little more at a dealership. More
