This was by far the single best car-buying experience of my entire life. They were knowledgeable, patient and took the time to explain everything -- from financing to the vehicle's operations -- in tremendous detail. I've been a customer of Richard Lucas Chevrolet since 2015 and unlike other dealerships I've been to, every experience I've had working with the people at Richard Lucas has been a pleasure. They provide excellent service and communication but the main reason I continue to return is the people. I know it must be a great place to work because I've been dealing with the same people since my first visit 9 years ago and when the lease on my latest car is up, I know I'll be seeing them again ! Avoid the service department. .. I don't know anything about the car buying side of this business but the service department is terrible... EVERY TIME I go there, there is a proble .. EVERY TIME I go there, there is a problem, no exaggeration EVERY TIME - low fluid levels, low tire pressures, misassigned valve sensors after changing tires, missing valve caps, filthy - mudcovered floor mats, oil steery wheel, squealing brakes, ... they say they do a multipoint inspection yet miss everything ... it makes me wonder if they are doing the actual service... is that cabin filter really getting changed? is that transmission fluid really getting changed? to top it off, no loaner car program, and they have this bad habit of not calling when the service is done and then closing for the day before I can get my vehicle.... AVOID this place, there are plenty of others in this part of NJ.... Also, I had earned rewards for the $1,000 I spent on service, but was unable to use because I had a discount from their website... seems petty.. More

Bought an EV in June 2022 for the window sticker. No problems, no hassles, and got everything I wanted for the window sticker price and all manufacturer incentives. I went back in June 2023 for another EV and they charged me 4k over the window sticker just because all of the other dealers in the tri state had been doing that on this model during the pandemic xx. Wound up splitting the difference, but I really wanted to walk away. I only paid the extra 2k price gouge because I wanted the car and didn't have to go to the dealership, listen to sales pitch. I took from their inventory, I should have paid 2k less for being such and easy going and repeat customer. The facility is newer, comfortable, and clean if you have to go there. Been using the service for years and have had okay to good experiences with the quality of service since 2004. That bieng said, the have a new large indoor service center, friends and family I sent there have had to redo tire balance. I don't think I ever had tires here, but recently I have not felt like a valued customer. Overall, this is your average Chev dealer. More
