I brought my car in for a free recall fix. The dealership then "suggested" a half dozen services they thought I should do. Among them was replacing the cabin filter. I declined. The nominally optimal services would have run me hundreds. When I got home, my glove box door was disconnected from its damper. On line, I discovered that can happen when someone goes in to look at the cabin filter. They messed up my glove box trying to get me to spend more money. I had to figure out how to fix it myself. I bought a high mileage (123K) RAV 4 for my college aged son. Even though they inspected it they still allowed me to take it to my mechanic.
