This was an email exchange. I questioned why there was no service record for a car my daughter was interested in. He made excuse after excuse why it was wasn’t available, poin I questioned why there was no service record for a car my daughter was interested in. He made excuse after excuse why it was wasn’t available, pointing out it showed service when new and when they took it in to sell. That should be good enough right? I explained that the day before my daughter and I test drove a car from another honda dealer south of there also missing any service record for the past year in this case. I happened to look in the glove box while riding as passenger and saw the prior owner was Hertz! The car was beat - looked like it and rode like it. Showed they put $1400 into it to make it sellable and added it to the carfax expected for the model. Will never another car without full documentation. Didn’t make any difference to this guy - all about him, not the customer’s concerns. Finally told me it was against company policy to check with a former owner after the fact. Maybe should have started with that bit of info instead the bs route. Found one the next day that met our needs that daughter liked and bought it from Mazda dealer in inver grove heights. Customer focused class act! More
