Canned Response Frustrated with Richfield/Bloomington Honda’s lack of a response to my situation, I posted a review of my experience with them on this site yesterday. Frustrated with Richfield/Bloomington Honda’s lack of a response to my situation, I posted a review of my experience with them on this site yesterday. Today they posted a reply where I was assured that their management team was looking into my case and encouraged me to contact the Service Director with any additional details or comments. My jaw hit the floor when I read that, since that was the very person to whom I sent a very detailed letter two weeks ago — a letter to which I received no reply! Did the person who penned their response even read my original complaint where I stated that fact? Is the management team looking into that? Evidently, this was a canned response to my post. This has morphed from a review of their service on my vehicle to a review on how they treated me as a customer. How can anyone take statements such as “we look forward to hearing from you” seriously when the sad truth is RB Honda had already heard from me and declined to respond? As was the case in the original occurrence when I was told my vehicle had been “thoroughly examined” and no problem was found, their words have no meaning. This is also precisely why I sent a letter rather than contact them by phone — so there would be a paper trail of my efforts. Again, I am not looking for compensation, nor am I interested in naming individuals specifically. I was originally just hoping for some gesture that my business was important and they would work hard to earn/keep it. However, now I am also interested in holding businesses like Richfield/Bloomington Honda accountable for their words/actions, or in my case lack thereof, and letting the public know of my experience with them so they can draw their own conclusions. As for me, “caveat emptor” when it comes to service at Richfield/Bloomington Honda. Your reputation has taken a major hit with my family/friends. More

Let me share with you my experiences. 1-I have my first maintenance appt where they offer this very cool valet thing where they come get your car. They never showed up. If you offer something, you may want to ensure that it happens. The rescheduled appt goes normally. PS, After an hour and a half of waiting, I had to reschedule because after I called and asked when they were coming they said, “Oh. I guess we missed that. We can be there in an hour.” And I had things to do. 2-I try to call to talk to someone in service about something with my car. I call and I am transferred to service, nobody answers so I’m rerouted back to front desk. This happens FIVE times in a row (after about 5 minutes of this) they take a message and someone calls me an hour later. 3-I get my tire serviced. I drive off the lot and get on the highway and my tire light goes on. I turn around and go back to the dealership to get it checked. They didn’t reset the sensor on my car. WTH?!?!? When you moved my car and the light came on it didn’t strike you to reset this? Seems trivial, but still lacks customer service. The service guy was rather rude. Fun fact, while I’m standing there waiting to check-out, the phones are ringing and I notice a lot of people on their phones or clicking on the computer and not answering calls. PS, same problem is happening. Guess I get to go back-GOODIE! 4-I decide this is kind of horrible customer service. I get an email from RB Honda saying provide feedback, call us. I said, you know what, I will. I called not once. Not twice. But three times and the service manager NEVER returns my call. So I say screw it. I’m calling the GM. 5-I call the GM, not once, but twice, and he has yet to return my call. I see a pattern here so I finally say screw-it. I’d rather pay a little more for a car at a different dealership than buy here and deal with this crappy level of service. What was a small issue had become a, “I will not be returning to RB Honda ever.” And the people I was sending there......well, sorry Aaron. Your post-sale customer service is a xxxx show!!!!! More
Long wait for repair service I had an appt. to get my car serviced on a Sat. afternoon and when I arrived, I was told by a young man to stand beside my car. I stood there for 25 minutes while numerous staff members came and went, completely ignoring me - no one made eye contact or said a word to me. Another woman who had been standing around even longer than I had was also being totally ignored. She said it was her second time at this dealership and it was going to be her last. I complained to the young man about the lack of customer service. He didn't explain or apologize for the delay and seemed to have no authority to do anything but sit there. Finally a service rep., Randy, came over to take my repair order. He apologized for the wait and was friendly and very helpful. If it weren't for Randy's good customer service (and the free coffee in the waiting room), I'd think twice about bringing my Honda to this dealership in the future. More

Oil change and fluids check I chose Richfield Bloomington Honda based on proximity to where I live. Had one of the best vehicle maintenance experiences. Doug was so helpful in ex I chose Richfield Bloomington Honda based on proximity to where I live. Had one of the best vehicle maintenance experiences. Doug was so helpful in explaining what maintenance was needed, and reviewing the paperwork throughly with me. The waiting room is stocked with coffee, food, internet so you can wait without missing any work time. And, My appointment was scheduled for an hour, I was onn with my day in 45 minutes. More
Poor service and poor recovery. Took the car in for an oil change. Was told it would take approximately one hour. Nearly 2 hours later, the car was finally finished. There was no apology, no offer to reduce the cost of the service, and No offer for future compensation. Have not had good experiences with this dealership and will now use one of their competitors in the region. More
Battery replacement I’m leasing a 2016 Honda CRV, the battery died after 2 1/2 years so still under warranty. I had a very dificult time getting in touch with the service department or getting a return call but understood as there was a severe cold snap. The service scheduler was finally able to get someone to come and jump start my car which I did appreciate. However the employee I saw at the service department was not helpful and very condescending. He never introduced himself and looking at my receipt he gave only his first name, Ryan which was probably intentional as he was aware how unhappy I was with him. He refused at first to replace the battery and only begrudgingly did it when the car wouldn’t start. In the past I never had any problems with the service department and found everyone almost over eager to please but as for Ryan maybe he was just having a bad day but I certainly hope to have no further encounters with him. More
