poor customer service I called to make a claim for the defected air bag that can result in injury and death. The richfield dealership said they couldn't get me in until the 30th of November, then it changed to the 24th. Honda is supposed to accommodate me with a rental vehicle until my vehicle is fixed. But Richfield honda said they could only give me a rental for the day of my maintenance. But that is not true according to the honda recall website. I was put on hold for 20 minutes before being told all of this. Even though the recall was not my problem and people have died from the airbag deploying shards of metal. But i would have to pay out of pocket until the day of my appointment. And they told me I would need to bring the rental car back within 12 hours of my vehicle being finished. I called another honda dealership, got my car in the same day and out the same day within the hour and they gave me a rental and said i could keep it until its convenient for me to bring it back and pick up my car. More

Service I called fairly soon after getting new tires from RBHonda because they weren't holding air. They told me this wasn't under warrantee because I probab I called fairly soon after getting new tires from RBHonda because they weren't holding air. They told me this wasn't under warrantee because I probably had a leak. After dealing with this a year a brought it in. They couldn't find anything 6 hours later. They said someone is letting them out at night, really? They rotated them. I called back to tell them it didn't work. Never called me back. Called back again and was hung up on and never called me back. More
Exchanged defective OEM jack under warranty 5 stars only because I went back a second time and was lucky to run into Ron Gholson. The first time experience was with a different service adviser a 5 stars only because I went back a second time and was lucky to run into Ron Gholson. The first time experience was with a different service adviser and I was ready to give a 0-star review. The OEM scissor jack on my 2014 CRV-EX has a bowed/bent worm drive (the threaded rod the lifting arms slide on). The bend is only noticeable when you observe while rotating. Because of the bend it becomes increasingly hard to turn the drive as the arms get closer to the center of the thread. If I had a flat somewhere out there, and the jack gets stuck, I could be stranded in the middle of no where. 1st visit: The service adviser took a look, discussed with someone and said the service director will call back next day. I got a call from the same service adviser and was told to come in next day. They ordered a new jack and will exchange under warranty. When I went in, the same service adviser took my jack and after a while came back with another jack. She said it is fresh out of the box and does have the same slight bend in the threaded rod. She further said Honda made it that way so the scissor arms do not accidentally slide back and bring the CRV down. She even had a tech out to show me where the jack up points are on my CRV. I went home and called Honda. Honda said the threaded rod is not supposed to be bent. They advised I go back to the dealer, take a look at the jack in a CRV on their lot. 2nd visit: Went in to the dealership today, ready to plead with the same service adviser to show me a jack from another CRV. Passed by an office and Ron was there. We said hi. Ron asked what brings me in. I said it is not anything interesting. He said those are the things he is interested to hear about. So, out came my story. He offered to look at a jack in a new CRV on the floor. I operated my jack and the other one. He agreed the threaded rod is bent on my jack, noticeable only when it is rotated. He took both to the Service Director Jason. They discussed inside the service bay area. I waited outside. He came out with Jason and said I can exchange my jack with the good one. They will take care of the defective one later. Ron, kudos to you because you cared enough to listen and understand a customer's genuine concern. The jack is probably the least exciting thing in a car. But, if it doesn't work in an emergency..... Jason, thanks to you too. This exchange was possible with your support as well. As for my 1st visit, I don't know why they did what they did. More
do it right I used to try to find the cheapest service available. Over the years I've discovered that you end up getting what you pay for. Pay a little more for original parts, but labor is competitively priced and you know it's going to get done right. Most recently, I had a battery problem with my new Civic. They could never replicate the problem in the shop, even after they'd come to my house and jump the car. Because they couldn't replicate the problem, Honda wouldn't cover it, so Randy swapped my battery out with one of the new loaners on the lot and that took care of the problem. More

The service department and Kevin DeCaluwe who sold me my car have come to my rescue both times. I don't know a thing about cars. The first time, Kevin drove over with the battery charger and got the car started. In the second instance, the service department did a thorough review of my battery and didn't try to sell me anything. the second time, my sound system locked up. I didn't know about the code to unlock it and apparently pushed buttons too many times and it had to be reset. Kevin came to my office, picked up the car, took it to service and returned it to me because he knew I had an important meeting at work and couldn't get away and I was about to drive 12 hours and needed a sound system. Richfield Honda offers exceptional customer service. They listen to what your issues are and are happy to deal with your problems of the day while doing what needs to be done to get your car in great working order. You couldn't ask for nicer staff. and they don't take advantage of you or make you feel stupid - even if you are about cars! Thanks Kevin and Richfield Honda - you saved the day! More
