Incompetent Technicians Destroyed My $150k Car What started as a dream became a lesson in frustration, heartbreak, and shockingly poor service. After 2.5 years of anticipation, I finally took deliv started as a dream became a lesson in frustration, heartbreak, and shockingly poor service. After 2.5 years of anticipation, I finally took delivery of my 2024 C8Z on April 9, 2024. I had protective paint film (PPF) applied because this was the car I planned to keep forever. Like many Corvette owners, I’m meticulous – some would say OCD – about how my car is treated. My issues with this are with the dealer service department and how they handled this situation. That's it. Read on for the full story. May 10, 2024 – Just one month in: “Service Convertible Top” light comes on. Car is at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet for 14 days. They replace the convertible top motor. November 14, 2024 – “Top Not Secure” light comes on. Out of service 5 days. Tech allegedly makes “adjustments.” December 31, 2024 – Same issue reappears. Car is in the shop for another 14 days. I pick it up with new physical damage to the car from their service department. Cracked $5k option carbon fiber door trim. Dented aluminum sill. Grease all over the bright red interior from dirty technician fingers. I email Jack Nogueira director of service. with photos of the damage. No response. Call in and ask for him and leave a voice mail. No response April 1, 2025 – Surprise: “Top Not Secure” again. Vehicle is at Rick Hendrick for 22 days. More “adjustments.” April 26, 2025 – 5 days later, the issue returns. I call Service Advisor Jared Dickson. He tells me to either talk to Jack about a rental or just try a different dealership. So I do. Same day – April 26: I visit Estero Bay Chevrolet. Their service manager says they’re booked for weeks. I agree to wait – I simply cannot return to Rick Hendrick. May 7, 2025 – I drop off my Corvette at Estero Bay Chevrolet for a full second-opinion evaluation. May 16, 2025 – I receive gut-wrenching news: their lead Corvette technician confirms that Rick Hendrick’s team destroyed the top assembly by grinding away the latch area. This damage is irreversible. The entire top mechanism must be replaced – a cost of $18,849. The PPF must also be redone. I contact Jack Nogueira again with photos, findings, full documentation. No call. No email. Nothing. Filed a claim with GM corporate. Hendrick denies any wrongdoing. No accountability. No response. Bottom Line: If you value your car, your time, your money, or your sanity, stay far away from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet. This experience has cost me thousands in damage, weeks without my car, and endless stress. Worst of all, their staff treats major mechanical destruction like a shrug-worthy inconvenience. And Jack Nogueira – the same service manager who has ignored every message and call – has “Open to Work” listed on LinkedIn status. Fitting. Based on my experience, he shouldn’t be managing a juice box stand at recess, let alone an entire service department. UPDATE: A few hours after posting this experience to the corvette forums, local corvette groups, etc....I FINALLY received a call from our friend Jack Nogueira. Was it to say "Sorry for my clueless technicians ruining your dream car," or "Sorry for never calling back," or "sorry for denying everything, bring the car back we will fix everything..." NOPE!!! This clown has the nerve to call me and tells me to take down the review or the Rick Hendrick attorney will sue for defamation. LOL The review is staying up to warn others. Look on the Corvettes of Naples FB group for others in the same situation. This is textbook what NOT to do in management. Take ownership, fix the issue, make it right. That's it. There is not other path. I'll be waiting for your lawyer to call Jack. :) More

What I thought would be a stressful car buying process turned out to be surprisingly easy and smooth! Clarel was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and made everything straightforward. He was knowledgeable, patient, and really took the time to understand what I was looking for. The whole experience exceeded my expectations - I honestly didn't expect it to go so well. Before I left, Clarel made sure I knew I could reach out if I ever needed anything. That kind of follow-up service really shows they care about their customers beyond just making the sale. If you're looking for a new vehicle, I would definitely suggest calling Clarel at (239) 601-8757. Getting involved with him and the team at Hendrick Chevrolet will definitely be worth it. You won't be disappointed! Thanks again, Clarel, for making my car buying experience such a positive one! More
Disappointed After a Promising Start I recently purchased a truck from Rick Hendrick, and initially, the sales experience was smooth and easy. The process was straightforward, and I appreciated how purchased a truck from Rick Hendrick, and initially, the sales experience was smooth and easy. The process was straightforward, and I appreciated how everything was handled during the sale. However, things quickly took a turn. I was told the truck would come with two keys—which is a reasonable expectation when spending over $40,000. Unfortunately, the truck had to stay for two weeks to complete recall work, and when I finally picked it up, I noticed the trailer hitch it originally came with was missing. On top of that, I was told there was no second key after all. I’ve reached out multiple times to follow up, but have received no response. Overall, this has been a disappointing experience. It feels like once the papers were signed, the support stopped. The team was quick to make the sale but hasn’t followed through on the promises made. More
