I don't recall the person name in finance department. He convinced me to buy additional warranty on lease vehicle without giving much details. I purchased protection plus and tire warranty. Recently there is a nail in the tire and local shop guy said that thread wear is under 2/30 and not in repairable condition. He said that only option is to replace the tires. I called tire warranty claims department and they said they would not process this claim as it is under 3/32 wear rate. I don't understand why I was convinced to buy when I have to spend money tires. I drove only 19k miles on brand new car. And, As I remember from last service time, service center people didn't mention anything of any alignment issues. How can the tires wear so quickly for normal driving given I don't tow, haul or any heavy duty transport?
