We did end up purchasing the car we wanted here, so the outcome was fine. The beginning process overall was smooth enough. During the discussion, the manager mentioned the dealership was “only making $200 profit” on the car, but shortly after came down $600 on the price. That inconsistency erased our confidence in the honesty of what was being presented. It wasn’t about wanting a rock-bottom deal, it was about wanting straightforward honest communication. The salesperson we worked with was fine, but the management approach took away from what could have been a much more positive experience. We left with a car that was at an ok price, but felt a bit taken. More
