I visited one of your competitors and did not like the salesmans approach. I had talked to a salesman earlier that day and had promised to come back the next day after work. A different salesman came out and when i told him i was working with someone else, he essentially had nothing else to do with me, even opened the jeep doors remotely and never walked back out. When i went to your dealership, after being treated like that, I told Drew that i had been working with Rob. Drew was fantastic. He told me Rob was off but he would be sure to tell him i came by. He answered all my questions, showed me several models, took down the info on what i was looking for, and passed all this on to Rob so we wouldn't have to go over it all again. Rob called me the next day and I purchased the vehicle that afternoon. Steve Hester came in and told me ya'll were doing everything ya'll could to earn my business and i truly believe he was sincere and valued me as a customer. Even when I went to talk to Cliff about financing, he was professiional, very helpful in explaining my options, and worked hard to get my payments where i needed them. I was interested in a B-5 Blue Challenger. Lou located several cars for me to chose from. They then had the car transported to North Charleston in the time requested. Lou understood my needs, my situation and desire for the car I needed and wanted..(sometime need and want can be a conflict) Lou guided me in making a smart choice for me without compromising my financial need or personal style. He patiently worked with me for 3 weeks, never in that time did I feel pressured. The the reason we have submitted a review is because the purchase of our PT Cruiser from Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston was the best experience we have ever had with an automobile dea purchase of our PT Cruiser from Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston was the best experience we have ever had with an automobile dealership when purchasing a car. In particular, we would like to note our salesman, Mr. Greg Weber, as an outstanding salesman with the greatest salesman qualities that others would do well to imitate. We have known Greg since our first contact with him in 2009. We were in the market for a different car that would allow me to get into and out of the car with somewhat greater ease than the Ford Taurus we own. That is not to say anything negative about our Taurus, it is just that it is not designed well for people who are mobility impaired to enter and exit easily. If I had not become disabled, we would have remained content to stay with our Taurus. Further, my wife won't drive a truck or van that would have served as well as the PT Cruiser. We needed a flat floor or a shallow floor well so that my wife or I could lift my legs into the car with less effort and humiliation. When we explained our situation to Greg, he is the first salesman we had encountered who actually listened to our problem. He thought for a few moments and then said, "I think I know just the car. I have sold several of these to people with your situation." When my wife sat in the drivers seat, she was thrilled. We had found our car. Before we started, I had explained to Greg that my wife, in particular, and I detested high-pressure sales tactics. I used the illustration of our experience with a time-share sales boiler-room. The hook was that we would get $50.00 and some coupons to good restaurants in our area if we would listen to the 'presentation'. My wife only agreed to take the "invitation" because she wanted the $50.00 and the coupons, the coupons more than anything else. Don't ask. We went to listen to the 'presentation', that turned out to be an extremely high pressure sales pitch to buy a time-share. The original price was $50,000.000 and $750.00/mo. maintenance fee. My wife kept saying, "No" as they brought different higher and higher sales pressure 'managers' in to close the deal. Eventually their offer got to just $500.00 for a purchase price and waiver of the maintenance fee. My wife looked the 'manager' straight in the eye and said (and I will never forget this), "No, not until I have had a chance to think about it. Now where is my $50.00 and my coupons?" So Greg knew exactly who he was dealing with and adjusted accordingly. I live on a fixed income and my wife makes a modest income. With my health being what it is, we have issues with money if I have a health crisis. We had several, which consumed our ability to make a down payment. But Greg patiently stayed in touch with us, never pressuring us, just reminding us that he and his dealership were still there. My wife and I decided, after looking at dozens of other cars, that the PT Cruiser was the car that would best meet our needs. We decided to make a commitment to Greg that when we were finally ready, he would have the first shot at us, that we would not go anywhere else until he and Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston had had their chance to sell us a car. Finally, we were ready. The deal that we received at Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston was very satisfactory. We bargained in good faith, back and forth, and finally settled on a price and conditions that we found acceptable. Due to the decrease in our income with the onset of my disability, we had encountered some difficulty making our mortgage payments on-time and lost our house to foreclosure. We also had some other credit problems. The financing manager at Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston (and forgive me as I have forgotten his name, a side-effect of the medications I take, but I do remember that he goes to the same church as we do) worked very, very hard to get our car financed and was finally successful. When we drove home in our new used PT Cruiser (it was new to us, even if it was used), it was with a feeling that we had been treated better than well by Greg and Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge in North Charleston, but that we were the only customer they had ever had and had thus paid appropriate attention to us.
