We We saw a car online that we were interested in. We went to the dealership and asked to see Wes. He was recommended by one of my wives coworkers. Wes spoke with us and let us take the car for a test drive and we decided to buy it. Wes was not pushy like some salesman are, he made us feel comfortable and worked with us so that we were taken care of. My wife hates car shopping and Wes made the car buying process easy and my wife was not stressed out. We will work with Wes the next time we need to buy a car. Thanks again. More

I had a great experience at Rick Ridings and recommend them especially if you're a female looking to buy a car. I was a little nervous going there by myself, but I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. M them especially if you're a female looking to buy a car. I was a little nervous going there by myself, but I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. My salesman (Wes) helped me find a good used car in my budget and they really worked with me on my old car I was trading. Overall it was a great experience. Plus, they gave me flowers, so that was a nice surprise. More
If you are looking for a reliable used car and great customer service, RUN AWAY! DO NOT waste your hard earned money here. We purchased a Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse Convertible from Chris Mataya, the ini customer service, RUN AWAY! DO NOT waste your hard earned money here. We purchased a Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse Convertible from Chris Mataya, the initial purchase process was quick and painless and we were very pleased. We drove the car home and the heat stopped working AND an airbag light came on (within 24 hours of purchase). We immediately contacted the dealership, and they said not to worry, they stood behind their products and would take care of it. We dropped the car off, they had it FOR THREE WEEKS, contacted us and said it was going to be too expensive to fix, so they couldn't do it, and they broke the driver side window while it was in their care (it was pushed down into the door and stuck). They said they would fix the window, after asking us to split the cost with them even though one of THEIR repairmen broke it. We finally, after much debate with their EXTREMELY rude employee, Rodney, were able to get them to repair what they damaged at no charge to us. We just received the car back, the driver's side window is severely scratched, the panel of the door is cracked and was glued back on (they claim they will replace the panel also since they broke it when trying to fix the window that they broke, after all of this hassle we are not hopeful), the heat problem WAS NOT FIXED, and the airbag code is still saying the driver's side airbag needs to be replaced. We have learned our lesson, we are now stuck with an unsafe, freezing cold car that Rick Riding's Ford would not stand behind. They did offer us "trade in value" of the car towards another on the lot, what a joke after we had the car less than a week! Our car is in more damaged condition than it was when we gave it to them for repairs, repairs/defects that should have been noticed in the pre-sale inspection. Again, don't walk, RUN away, and give your money to a dealership that actually values its customers. We buy a new "fun" sports car every 2 years or so, and they have lost a customer that could have been loyal for life. Learn from our mistake and save yourself a huge hassle! More
Just bought a Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible from Chris Mataya and it was a wonderful experience! From the start they were very helpful without being overpowering or pushy (like many dealerships), the enti Mataya and it was a wonderful experience! From the start they were very helpful without being overpowering or pushy (like many dealerships), the entire process was painless and fast. Got the car home and ran into a few problems with it. Gave them a call and Chris went above and beyond to help us. Even though the car was used and sold "as is" they showed great customer service and took care of everything, even supplied a great courtesy car while my "Princess car" was being repaired. Thank you Rick Riding's for a great experience! If you are looking for an easy, friendly experience ask for Chris Mataya and tell him Brittany and Shawn sent you! More
What is not to like about this Dealership. This buying experience and trade-in was the most unique experiences I have ever come across in all my years of purchasing vehicles. As I get older my wants and n experience and trade-in was the most unique experiences I have ever come across in all my years of purchasing vehicles. As I get older my wants and needs have become harder to for a Car Dealer to deal with. Not for Joanie Vriner. Her approach to me as a stranger she has never seen before was that of treating someone the way she would like to be dealt with. She quickly assessed my needs and showed me only one car that I immediately fell for. The rest was "no pressure" and as easy as falling off the horse in the show room. And the Finance Manager was just as easy and as much of a pleasure to deal with as Joanie was. Really put my wife and I at ease and was so personable. I think the dozen roses presented to my wife really put her over the top. All in all this was just a really, really nice experience and I am now driving as nice a car as I have ever driven. Thanks for the experience Rick Riding's!!! Kenneth L Maag 1108 Sunset Drive Rantoul, Il 61866 More
My overall experience with Rick Ridings is Monticello has been nothing but spectacular! I bought my car there and because of the great service, I recommended two of my family members to buy from Rick Riding been nothing but spectacular! I bought my car there and because of the great service, I recommended two of my family members to buy from Rick Ridings and they did! The service department is very helpful and friendly. I have never had a bad experience in the 3 years that I have delt with Rick Ridings. Mark, assistant service manager, is always friendly and courteous. He has always worked around my schedule for bringing in my car. He has always been very honest with me and I appreciate that. I have delt with dealerships in bigger towns and nothing comes close to the service I have received at Rick Ridings! Keep up the good work Mark!! More
Sales people were good. Service is lacking. I took my vehicle in to get a window track fixed on the driver side. I had to schedule the repair far out due to a variety of requirements both with my civili vehicle in to get a window track fixed on the driver side. I had to schedule the repair far out due to a variety of requirements both with my civilian job and military duties down at Scott AFB. I initially scheduled the work before my warranty expired at 35,000, but drove the 1500 miles in between the scheduled visit. Service tried to upsale me prior to checking the vehicle on a fuel injection cleaning service that wasn't recommended by the mfr. and was too expensive. soon as I said no, he came back to me with expired warranty. yikes. Now I'm a pretty reasonable person, but this was obvious what was happening. There are two guys in service who take the calls, the guy with bad customer service, and the guy with good. I remember how I spoke to the guy with good customer service about the bad guy many months ago before this hpapened, and he agreed that there were definitely some problems with him, but he's just one of those types of guys whos been with Uncle Rick Ridings for years. I recommend some customer service training at the very least for him. Even his hustle and upsale is lazy, and it was obvious why he refused my warranty work, because I wasn't gesturing his department with extra services I didn't need---he wasn't gesturing my warranty work due to a technicality in me scheduling the repairs way out. Now I purchased a rather expensive car during a time of recession. I caressed their money books pretty nice, and even got the infamous window etching I read later was a scam. You didn't see any complaints out of me, I really didn't care because after 10 years of hard work in the military and school, all I wanted to do was treat myself and spend some money at Rick Ridings back when I purchased this vehicle and I'm perfectly happy with it and the sales people. But I feel like this recent event was a backstab, and because of it, I can't recommend Rick Ridings for auto service needs. The guy who takes the calls & indocks looks like he's going through some major depression, I'll betcha its about those dang $15 good deal oil changes that aren't profitable. I would recommend Rick Ridings raise the prices to 29.99 to make him happy. I'd gladly pay $30 a drain & fill if the poor sap would just cheer up a bit. I still get everything done at Rick Ridings Maintenance wise, and I pay them for the service, but this was a clear backstab. Bottom Line, sales staff: courteous, assertive, down to earth. Service Dept: 50/50, customer service is good with the newer guy, the older guy who seems to take a majority of the calls, is not tactful, he moans & groans alot, even when you're just sipping coffee by him and small talking. Here is the email that I received from this salesman. This should tell it all: Hello Rob and Stacey I'm sorry for the trouble, let me know why you felt it necessary not to call in and let me This should tell it all: Hello Rob and Stacey I'm sorry for the trouble, let me know why you felt it necessary not to call in and let me make it right for you. I may have been able to cover those costs. It is possible that our tech may have missed it.....he may have even felt as you did and with only 20K miles, didn't feel the need to even look at them. Now that the work was done elsewhere, I can not do anything to help. Sorry for the trouble. You were our salesman. I thought that you would like to know how very disappointed we are. We had to put new brakes and rotors on it at the cost of $458.00. Customers think that they are being sold something that is in good condition, especially from a dealership. We feel like we were taken advantage of and sold a vehicle that was obviously in need of brakes. We of course didn't know that, but any mechanic would have been able to see that. We can't quite figure out how a van needs new brakes at only 20,000 miles. Even the mechanic was a little baffled at that one. I would have a very difficult time referring anyone to your dealership after this experience. We certainly did not have that kind of money to put into a van that we thought was good to go, at least for a while. Regards, Rob and Stacey Rudolph More
