The car is in MA license plate and break down in NY, and my wife has no any knowledge about car. You know what happened next. A lot of unnecessary services were recommended and done. The invoice end up $808, only $315 is related to battery replacement. Replacing brake pads, flushing brake fluid et al.. This car brake system was just checked up in the Nissan dealer near my house. This was obviously a rip off. More
My daughters car died on the way to the Hamptons on Thursday night. It was under warrantee. I had the car towed to our house, and the next day I called hyundai in river head. John from service gave me Thursday night. It was under warrantee. I had the car towed to our house, and the next day I called hyundai in river head. John from service gave me a phone number of a tow company who towed the car to river head. I called when the car arrived and they said the car would be in the shop Monday. Monday afternoon I called and they said John wasn't there no they had no idea what I was talking about. Wednesday morning I called and josh said it was going into the shop that day. Friday we came out and went to pick up the car. John w there and told me they changed the battery. I told him the car had relatively low mileage, so why would the battery die? He said it happens some time. When I asked if they did a full diagnostic to se Eiffel there was an underlying problem he said they always do that. The car made it home then died stranding my daughter in a parking lot. If I wanted to just put a battery into a car with an electrical problem I really didn't have to wait a week to do it. Thanks John. More
Bought a Nissan because they are supposed to be "reliable" cars. Had a problem with the car, something that is not supposed to go wrong until well over 100,000 miles and my car did not have half th "reliable" cars. Had a problem with the car, something that is not supposed to go wrong until well over 100,000 miles and my car did not have half those miles. Car is not even three years old yet and is just out of warranty because it is over the miles. The repair is going to cost a lot and this is the third Nissan we have purchased from them. Originally when we called, they offered to take off some of the charges for the bill, but once they found out that I did not take my car to their service department whenever I got an oil change they refused to do anything to help. My family has a friend who is a mechanic so we try to support the local businessmen. We will also be supporting the local businessmen to get this problem fixed because I would rather give them the money and support than a huge dealership who will do nothing to help their customers. Riverhead Nissan is also very over priced and you can go to almost any other dealership to get a better price. My friend was looking at Nissan's and I suggested she go to Nissan 112 and she did and got a much lower price for her vehicle. More
