I’ve had nothing but frustration with Riverside Chevrolet’s service department. About 10 months ago, I had to have the entire fuel system replaced in my truck, which took a full month to get back. While I understood that kind of work would take time, the communication was poor from the start. Fast forward to now, and I’m back in for leaking fuel lines—something that shouldn’t have happened after only 10 months. It took them 5 days just to even look at the truck, which is ridiculous, and then they replaced the fuel lines again. When I picked it up, however, I noticed my AC wasn’t working. My first thought was that something might have been disconnected during the fuel line repair, especially since the AC was working perfectly when I dropped the truck off. I asked the service department about it, and they assured me that they never touched the AC during the fuel system repair. They suggested I bring it back in to have the AC recharged, which seemed odd. So, I took it back, only to be told they couldn’t see me at that time and that I’d have to come back a third time and pay to get the AC recharged. I ended up taking the truck to another diesel mechanic, and they informed me that there's no way to replace the fuel lines without disconnecting the AC. This was clearly a case of poor workmanship and lack of attention to detail. I’ve had a lot of repairs done over the years, but this experience has been the worst by far. I won’t be returning to Riverside Chevrolet for service again. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and careless work has cost me time, money, and trust. Maria is amazing! However, to even get to her, I arrived at 11am for my 11:30 appointment and didn’t get any help or any acknowledgement AT ALL for about 90 minutes. One person silently came up to my car and put a number on my dashboard and didn’t say anything. While I empathize with the fact that Brian was seemingly the only service advisor working, he could’ve said, perhaps, “hey, just wanted to let you know, it might be a while… would you like to have a seat inside.” Actually, I would have taken any acknowledgement at all! It makes me rethink ever purchasing a car from or visiting this dealer for service ever again. More
