From the moment I walked in the door Lawrence Vitulli who was my sales Rep, the management staff, finance Rep Michael Slapp and owner were very accommodating and welcoming. They took the time to show me all of my options since this was the first time I was purchasing a Jeep. They were not pushy at all and I did not feel pressured to buy a vehicle the same day like most dealerships. I ended up with the Grand Cherokee and could not believe how much inventory they had on the lot. Lots of options! Every step of the way I felt very relaxed and glad I made the decision to come here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Chrysler Jeep or Dodge! Will be servicing here as well. Very impressed with the service dept and staff! More
Getting Service on a Lemon Car My car has turned to be a lemon. I understand that. But when the service department does nothing to help you with the paperwork and the transmitting o My car has turned to be a lemon. I understand that. But when the service department does nothing to help you with the paperwork and the transmitting of an insurance claim and wants the money up front and quick, its gets really bad. I was not given a written estimate of the repairs. They did not provide my insurance company with the information they needed to process the claim. I had dealt with this service department when they were under different owner and management. Things have gone downhill since the change over. Very bad public relations. very bad communication and poor and even illegal lack of disclosures and due processes. More

Chris Dooney is always fully transparent about the pricing and always figures out a solution that is within our budget. Victor Madera in finance was able to gain all the necessary approvals in a timely manner and made the paperwork process go as smooth as possible! More

He took the time to go over what I needed out of a car and made an effort to get me in a car with all of my needs met in my price range. I couldn’t believe that I was able to get such a great deal. It was a seamless process especially because I felt like he was so upfront with me. When I picked the car up he took as much time as needed to sit with me in the car and go over any questions I had to feel confident driving away in my new vehicle! A week later, he followed up again with me to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Even the finance manger, Mike Slapp, was more than helpful and made the paperwork process painless. I truly don’t think I would have had such a pleasant, seamless experience if I shopped anywhere else. I was guided in the right direct every step of the way. Both Mike and Jermaine were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend visiting Rockland CJDR and I will be going back when it’s time for my next car. More

Bait and Switch I generally don’t like to give negative reviews but in this case I feel that this review could help someone avoid the same mistake I made. I’ve be I generally don’t like to give negative reviews but in this case I feel that this review could help someone avoid the same mistake I made. I’ve been shopping for a new Pacifica for a couple of weeks. As part of my research, I called/visited several local dealers shopping for the best price. Without getting too much into the details, after getting one price from a different dealer, I called Kyle at Rockland (who we had spoken with previously and knew what our parameters for a deal were) and I advised Kyle of the price from the other dealer and asked if Rockland could beat that number. He said that Rockland absolutely could beat it (by a sizeable amount). I told him that I was ready to make a deal that day and I would drive to Rockland at that moment (a 40 minute drive and after spending 2 hours in the other dealer’s office) and that if he needed to check with his manager before I drive to confirm, then please do that and get back to me. But he swore he could beat it and it wouldn’t be an issue (some shtick about how they have the largest inventory and they just want to move inventory more than anything). He told me that he already spoke with his General Manager (I think his name was Robert) and that his General Manager knew everything and would personally walk me through the rest of the deal. The rest of the story is a car dealership cliché …I show up and instead of the General Manager Robert, I get some associate named “Smitty”. Of course, neither Smitty nor Robert knew anything about my prior conversations with Kyle and I had to walk Smitty through the entire deal again. After an hour and a half, Smitty came back and told me that they couldn’t get close to the number offered by the other dealer. Smitty then proceeded to tell me that Kyle wasn’t authorized to promise me any numbers. As you can imagine, I was completely frustrated. I blame myself (partially) for falling for the oldest trick in the book. I should have had Rockland email me something confirming the terms that we had agreed upon. With that being said, based on my experience I don’t believe that Rockland cares about people. They only care about their numbers. Rockland intentionally lied to me to me to get me in the door and then completely tried to sell me something different. Good luck everyone! More
